Alright last night I lost more posts. I'm starting to notice a little trend when I near 1000. I don't know what it is, if mods are toying with me, if a thread got deleted. It's just really annoying. If someone is targeting me, you win. Oh well, I have more posting to do.

Not that this really matters, it's just disconcerting.

Quality Matters More

Dude, these are low quality posts. I really don't take the post count all that seriously because a lot of it is games and vanity like this thread is turning into.

There's a lot that doesn't have much information value or organizational value. Judged on that basis:

Do I care about games.... not at all.

Do I care about OT-ville... well, I've definitely found some good stuff thereby.

Do I count OT News... you bet. I get some the weirdest news here.

Humor counts.

Friendly welcomes to newbies counts.

But all in all, I don't find meaningless posts all that valuable. I respect grinner's posts because aside from the game threads and "vanity", he posts some really good and interesting stuff. G_S has some phenomenal humor (so does Stellar). Digger, MediaSavant, Cosmic Theorist, and vhsiv have some awesome ratings and network input.

I think developing a reputation for good posts trumps the number anyday.
