Midnight showing -- well close enough (12:05.) It was incredible. Still trying to process everything, but it was definitely a fitting cap on the other two movies.

I saw it last night; I was afraid that I would fall asleep during the movie (I went to the midnight showing of Phantom Menace and nodded off just long enough to miss Darth Maul getting cut in half) so I drank 2 Red Bulls and I didn't even blink during the whole movie. I got home at 4 AM, woke up at 6:30. I had another Red Bull and some kind of esspresso thing. I'm not tired at all. However, I now have the ability to taste colors.

I hate Red Bull. It is just so gross. Wierd thing is, during the summer a Red Bull truck pulled into our lot and was handing out free drinks to everyone here and it was equally split among the men and women. All the guys loved it, all the ladies hated it.

As long as you don't think you can fly!

Of course not. You cannot fly. Only British people can fly. You shouldn't try
to fly and you shouldn't listen to British people.

It was by far the best of the three, which is quite an achievement.

Only slightly marred by inconsiderate jerks in the audience.

I just saww the whole trilogy with the extended cuts yesterday from the lotr con in T.O. it was amazing!!! I can't beleived I survived the marathon!!!! Bring tissues!!! I cried straight for the last 2 hours of the movie and the end credits!!! PJ must get the oscar:aok: :signbravo

Nicola

Oh yeah, bring kleenex. I saw the ROTK yesterday, and I am glad I was not the only one who cried the last two hours or so...

How did the lotr con go, Bandana Girl? I have been following snippits of information, but I would love to know more.

I wanted to cry through the last two hours, but hey, couldn't do that in the presence of the company I was with. I figure I'll wait until it comes out on dvd and I can watch it alone to truly enjoy the emotional range of the film.

To avoid spoilers, the only other thing I'll say was it had some of the best battle scenes I've seen. Great stuff!

Just got home from seeing ROTK, and absolutely loved it! I almost feel a sense of loss, now that the trilogy is finished. No more new LOTR :( But it was frelling fantastic!

And for Harry Potter fans, there's still five more movies and two more books.

AND....

There's always the Farscape miniseries to look forward. That's definately kept me from being depressed about there being no more LoTR movies!

Saw it yesterday. Amazing. I actually jumped once! And feel pretty stupid about it too! :lol
Is it wierd that one of my favoite scenes had no characters in it? No spoilers but I'll just say, the bit with the beacons.... That was just cool.

Yeah, that was fab!!

I wish I had gone to one of the midnight movies. I felt like I was watching a movie with a bunch of dead people. Nobody had any kind of reaction (but me  ) and I couldn't quite help myself a few times :bounce: :bounce:

I went to one of the midnight movies, and the people in my audience were jerks. One guy talked on his cell phone during the last ten minutes of the movies. The people in front of us said some REALLY sexually graphic stuff to my best friends little sister (13). The worst part was...she had been DYING to see the movie... I mean...she dressed like Galadrial for Halloween. We shut them up finally, but it really dissapointed me to see her enjoyment diminished . She was the most excited about this out of our whole group, and I REALLY wanted her to have a good time.

Well I got back yesterday and I'm a bit sick( I think something was in the air of Mediveil Times on Monday)(damn I can't spell!!). But I'll do a report on space and send links. For naow quite a few people are commenting on the amount of women at this con. I'm so gald I got a costume. At the banquet 1000 people went and like 97% of people were in costume and the resturant changed the show to fit with middle earth and they even made specially made banners for us so it felt really authentic. even had a band called the Glass Hammer for autjentic music!!!

I wish people wouldn't be such jerks!

Ah well, I guess I'm glad I was in the theatre with a bunch of quiet dead people rather than loud jerks!

What I'd REALLY like is my own home theatre with a big plasma screen tv, dolby surround sound, and comfy recliners. :pop: That would be awesome and I could jump up and scream at the movie (or Farscape ;) ) whenever I wanted to! :bounce:

I saw the show yesterday. All I can say is "WOW"!!!! It was everything that you would want in a movie and more. There was lots of action and special effects, but what sets this apart is the characterization. You really get to see what they're all feeling inside. All of these things make this movie a step above.

If Peter Jackson himself does not win any awards, it will be a travesty! The time and effort he put into these three movies is astounding!!! You can see that he truly loved the material and wanted to show it the best way possible.

I can't wait to go see the movie again and again.
