What hidden talents do you have? I want to know how talented we scapers are as a group. I today realised I can do one of the things that made me go What the frell. I can do that thing Aeryn did at the end WGFA!

really??? ;)
I don't have any tricks that I can think of. I can carry heavy objects on my back and walk for a long time. That's all I can think of.

I can make a very loud clicking noise in the back of my throat that usually confuses people. I can twirl a pen, knife, or other such item across the backs of my fingers for long periods of time (never mastered the coin, though.) And I've gotten pretty good at stopping idiots with two simple words.

Not. Now.
Although, it's all in the tone of voice.
I've tried, "Don't," but you risk getting, "Don't what?" from the true idiots. "Not now," is the most effective one I've found to date.

I have a vocal range that can go as high as a munchkin and can go lower than Berry White. I'm a pretty versatile vocal performer. Folks have told me I should go in to voice acting. I can mimic most of my friends' voices well enough to impersonate them over the phone. Since I quit smoking and my voice has gotten better I think I just might give it a shot.
Here’s a stupid erpling trick – I can watch “Transformers: The Movie” and perform half of the characters’ voices perfectly.
I'll tell you -- the hardest part is trying to flip between Megatron and Starscream in the same conversation. You wanna talk about painful -- whoa!

I think all my talents are hidden, and I can't find them either.
I can put up with the people at the DMV. (I kind of have to...) Is that a talent?

I can do the "Bakasana" yoga pose, which entails balancing your knees on your elbows and rotating your bodyweight onto your hands (oh just google it). From this position I can push myself into a handstand. All this having never taken a class or even respected yoga... I thought I invented it, actually, I guess I'll have to withdraw that patent.
Not Now!!!
Oh and JrMTC... God bless you. ;)

I can spin my balls, er, I mean basket balls on every finger and thumb. I used to one or two balls at the same time, and I was also able to loop a spinning ball around my body, under my legs and along and across the top my arms.
One of my favorite tricks was to throw a basket ball into the air, say about 15 feet up, snap my finger and thumb (inorder to get the timing right) and have the spinning ball land back on my index finger. :D

Around our house, my sister & I used to make fart noises with our throats. My mother would get all pissed off and send us away from the table. Now she just threatens to send us away, but she can't make us!
BT, are you talking about the Iceman twirling thing? If so, I can do that too. That's how I dealt with nervous energy in high school. I can also make one eyelid droop and twitch, so it looks like I have a nervous tic. I do that when someone's trying to tell me something important that I already know - that way I get to hear them say, "Your eye's gonna freeze like that if you don't stop!" Oh, and I can roll my stomach, but that's not exactly a talent I display in all company. :lech:
And I can belch and talk at the same time, but I try not to do that in public. It's not very ladylike. Why do older brothers teach you bad habits and then say it's gross when you can do it better than them? :ewink:
I need a hobby...

That it is. I do it a lot when I'm brainstorming . . . or am going crazy.

Does it count that I can dislocated my hip joints? Not very useful, except maybe in belly dancing. (I haven't tried that one, yet):innocent: :lech:

:elol: You know, you're gonna get yourself in trouble with that whole pole dancer thing - first of all, they're called choreographers... :ewink:

trinamick talking about fart noises reminded me of another stupid thing I can do --
I can make this sound with my voice that is best described as “Demon Vomit” – It’s really nothing more than a belch. What I do is when I belch I curl my tongue and compress the sides against my back upper teeth so only the upper part of my mouth lets air through (the space within my upper set of teeth and palette). Then I cock my head so my throat is compressed over my esophagus. The sound that comes out is one not found in nature. In fact, I've made folks dry-heave by making this sound. I wish I had a way of recording it and letting you hear it. It’s a sound that will haunt you. I’m quite proud of it.:D

Very cool. I am in awe! :D (now I'm gonna have to try it!) My mom hates it when our family gets together, because we all start doing stupid things to gross each other out. I make my voice really low and then I belch, "Luke, I am your father." My bro-in-law always responds with, "Isn't that attractive?" :elol:
