Loopy would be a good way to describe it, but better works also. I'm no longer dehydrated, so my headache and muscle aches are gone. I can drink fluids and talk again, so that's good. It still hurts, but the pain is down to half what it was, now that the drugs are working. And my brain is very numb . . . which is welcome after the day I've had. I think I'm actually going to get some quality sleep tonight. Life is good.

I feel for you, trub. I hate being sick when I'm working. I worked in a movie theater over the winter holiday, and one night I was at the guest services desk. Some people were nice and understanding, but then I'd get the occasional jerk who stands there impatiently, huffing at me while I turn to hack up a lung. I was tempted to cough on those kinds of people. :pissed:

He coughcoughcough... What the frelling hezmana is going on...
So many posts, so many pages, and for what? Do they sing? No, couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, not even a hum, frell, they don't even speak to me...
Thought I was in the Ignore thread for a microt... Fell asleep at the keyboard reading 'em, twice...
Can't believe this thread keeps getting derailed...
Sure, there was Stars, on vacation, having a grand time in the 'Olde Country', just minding her own business, looking for a few snookerdoodles and root beer. When alas her wandering eye spots a launderette. Her mind starting to wander toward ‘doing laundry’, even to ‘Dented Laundry’, whatever that might mean, just not going there, will leave that to Stars, LL, and a certain other poster. Not even going to mention it…
Now where was I? Oh yeah, that was really too much to pass by for Stars on this trip so far away from home… her mind starts wandering, (again just for emphasis) to quilts, flannel sheets, infamous monkey pants, certain FMD posers, er I mean posters, riding the wild horsies, cross dressing guys, uh, guys wearing skirts, I meant kilts, honey, bacon bits, and back to spin cycles. Now that would make even the most conscientious person a little distracted. And it was the same with Stars, distracted to the point of walking right smack into a sheet of glass carried by several gentlemen working on the building adjacent to the aforementioned launderette.(you just knew I was gonna say Pole didn’t you?) Would possibly have been OK, except Stars banged her noggin’, creating a whirlwind of stars, might even have been a few blue ones there, and causing yet another possible concussion, contributing to her entry into the ‘You Ain’t Right Club’, although she did get to add it to her sig.
What do you mean get to the point, you just hold your little wild ponies in a bunch and wait for it…
Anyways, Stars all dazed and confused, well confused even more, not that Stars is confused, I’m just saying even more confused than usual, staggers, grabs her aching noggin’ in her now slightly groggy state, wanders, nay, staggers into the launderette, where she just by happenstance catches her balance by leaning on a washing machine just as it enters its spin cycle. The establishment’s manager, fearing a subsequent legal dispute, just gaped in horror at the display. But luckily for all involved, there just happened to be one gentleman who was not only available, knowledgeable, witnessed the whole incident, and who owned the very clothes now entering the spin cycle that Stars was leaning against in a most precarious position. The gentleman in the unique position to help was the Principle Officer Health Liaison, that’s POHL, (rhymes with Pole! Capitalized just for emphasis. See I got us there oh ye of little faith). Which would have been perfect if not for in his eagerness to provide aid, he managed to traverse the one particular spot in the floor where the water did not drain properly, you know the spot, the low spot in the floor that holds water in spite of all the engineers, architects, and design studies that always show just how inconceivable the idea of any water standing on this floor could be. After crashing into the still slightly stunned Stars, and thereby reducing her subsequent stay to a mere blur, the gentleman proceeded to explain his position and England’s health care system. Poor Stars, at the mercy of socialized medicine, left to wander aimlessly with a new bandage and a couple of aspirin.
Stars hates hospitals! A crying shame to, with all those concussions. And to think it all could have been avoided with a little gratuitous elevated furniture dancing, not even thinking about wearing cropped infamous monkey pants :aok: and in the close proximity, nay even touching what may or may not rhyme with ‘Mole.’

Milan: Pole Dancing, Circus Acts and Runways Shows
Sun Jan 18, 8:53 AM ET
Fashion Wire Daily January 18, 2003 - Milan - This week the fashion flock has flown east—touching down in Milan for the men’s collections.
Arguably the highlight of the week—make that year—was Tom Ford’s winning swan song at Gucci, where he showed us how the boozy, sex fueled playboys of the world should dress. Perhaps he’s just been preparing his own wardrobe for when he is officially without a proper work address. Then there was Giorgio Armani, who didn’t disappoint with his collection of classically tailored suits and, as always, a celeb filled front row. And it looks as though Mr. Armani may have a bit of a rival in Alexander McQueen, as the stellar Brit debuted a surprisingly demure men’s collection, which gave a big nod to his Savile Row training. And Neil Barret: the next fashion icon in the making? You be the judge. From classic tailoring, pole dancing mamas, and a literal circus show at Etro, the Men’s shows in Milan were nothing if not exciting.
You owe me, Mr. Slip. [/B]

I love the flexing one. He's cute. But I have to go to bed now. I have class tomorrow. It's been great fun, all! http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0903/spezial/Fool/yar.gif

Yeah, I just started watching it last night. I hate to not finish a movie all at once, but I had to be up early this morning. I'm going to finish watching it over my noon hour. The DVD has a bunch of deleted scenes and bonus material. I'll check that out when I get off work. Real life really gets in the way of my lazy time!

Could anyone give me the short version?;)

Really not a whole lot more than the usual stuff. Mostly ranting and raving and the normal good time. You really didn't miss too much....
Please read all of Fruns posts though. :aok: His personal best yet....
BTW. There is a package in the mail for you. Sent Air Mail so you should get it real soon...

Hi SM!!!
And what BC said, yep just skip all that other dren, er, uh, stuff, and get straight to the good stuff! :D
Once Upon a Time in Mexico came out a while ago, and yes I do have it...
Pole dancing on Angel? Why doesn't anyone tell me these things?

Yep BC, doing okay. The big day tomorrow, and my greatest fear is the hell and damnation the priest is going to bestow on my little pagan head. He is desperately trying to get me back in the fold.

Thank you BC.
Well there is no late night for me tonight!!! [insomnia or no insomnia] so I really must away to bed.
Thought I would put a dvd on to distract me but I don't think Red Dragon was the best of choices. Might try Rear Window instead.
Night night all. Catch up soon. :)

A licence? I needed a licence? First the Angel Pole dancing and now this, nobody ever tells me nothing...
And about Stars injury, not to sure of the total extent of the damage, think the plate glass was a goner...
Oh, uh, well, she did state that she thinks the trip was brief, and some vague hint that she might have been asleep, so using my best Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau detective skills, I put two and two together and made a huge mess, er, sum...

No LL, though that would be nice.
Unfortunately my family are burying my Dad tomorrow, who lost his battle with cancer friday week ago.
It's okay though, he was 78 and had many good friends who have said the nicest things about him. I think they are more upset than me because they have not seen how bad things got for him. I hope he is in a better place and with the family that has gone before, and being at my Mum's place with my sister has been very good for us all. We have been busy with the arrangements, and like someone said this week, "it's like trying to arrange a wedding, but in one week"
So I didn't mention it on this site before because in some ways this has been my "normal" place, not that this thread is really normal, and it has been good to be able to step away from the family troubles every now and again.
