Hamster tennis? It just got into a bizarre conversation after the vet started talikng about the animals that had bitten him. Expecting some horrific dog tales, we were a little surprised when he said his worst experience was with a siberian hamster....

Apparently they have deamon heads that can swivel all they way around... and once it gotta hold of his finger it would not let go.

He ended up having to flick this critter across the room to get it off...

At which point someone suggested that he get a tennis racquet and the idea of hamster tennis was born...

Not that I am condoning any form of tennis that involves any living animal... but the idea of a hamster hitting a tennis racquet with a 'squeak' did make me giggle

Whew...so its not really a game but a story....Thats so much better....I had a hamster once that bit my brother all the time. If he came near it, it would make a weird noise. One day I came home and he was cuddling it...they were great friends. i asked him what he did and he said it bit him so he "warmed" his tail up a bit on the lamp. I hit him really hard for doing that but the little guy was much more friendlier...

My sister's hamster was really grouchy and would bite everyone... then it gave birth. :rolleyes: That explained that.

This was also the hamster that somehow threw its back out of whack, so we took it to the vet for hamster chiropractic.

I kid you not. Fixed the problem, too... he had these tiny little rubber-tipped mallets just for tiny rodent chiropractic stuff. :dunno:
