"Venice" was recorded by my friend Mike Nisky and was on MP3.com, but that site's down for a major rehaul. Several other songs of mine were demo'ed by a band called "3 Way Street" back in the 80's. A bunch of great friends from my college and post-college days. The band was 6-piece, female vocalist (during the last few years of the band's existence), and saxophone. Pop/rock, 50-50 covers/originals. I was one of their lyricists at the time. I also handled lighting, stage managing, and promotion.

Sure there was Stars all happy being on vacation, no little hellions to worry about, no annoying co-workers, who, by the way, were such a great help on the project, checking up on her just to see if she needed any help and all, just basking in the sunshine, sitting there, sun beaming on her, feeling just a little tired, sun does that you know, as she slowly drifts off to snoozeville… Would have been all right if not for the fact of Stars thinking about the end of her vacation, back to school grind and all, sure that just laying there in the back of her mind, all sneaky and suspicious, just waiting for the right moment. And the right moment was fast approaching, as the sun’s rays were so enchanting, the eyelids getting heavy, started drifting off, couldn’t help it really, odds were just stacked against her… Evil ugly school thoughts just laying there in wait, could have happened to anybody, sure… What? I am getting to it! And don’t interrupt, it’s rude! Now where was I? Oh yeah, getting to the Pole (capitalized just for emphasis), er I mean, point… Stars envisions that first ROLL call, sure that’s it, roll call, the beginning of a day of dealing with little miscreants, useless co-workers, and the never ending day as the hands of the clock move so excruciatingly slow, as the day drags on for all eternity…

Stars, dreading Monday, the beginning of those frelling school days that just never seem to end, bickering of little children all around her, and don’t even mention the students! And the days drag on for weeks! And then months! And next year, same thing, all over, a vicious never ending cycle, enough to cause anyone just a few psychological problems, such as Exotica-elvatedfurniturious, the fear of rhymes with ‘Mole’ dancing…

Poor Stars, she hates children! Might have been one too many bright red apples she saw, triggered that Snow White evil queen mechanism that was buried so deep within the recesses of her mind. And to think it could have been all avoided with just a little gratuitous elevated furniture dancing, not wearing any cropped monkey pants :aok: and in the very near proximity, nay, even touching something that may or may not rhyme with ‘Mole.’
