I got this message from Geos as an email, and thought I'd post it. Notice that Farscape is one of the shows they collect data for, and they are now collecting a lot more data, including comments on each episode. Anyone who wants to give them more data can go to their site and join for free. Here's the email:

Hello GEOS Member,
As 2004 rapidly approaches, it dawns on us that this will be GEOS'
tenth
anniversary year. In that time the site has undergone many changes,
and
has been reincarnated in various forms. 2003 saw some radical changes,
including a shift to a PHP-mySQL based system. This change has proved
not
only very stable, but has also allowed us to develop many more features
for
GEOS. We'd like to draw your attention to a couple of recent new
additions.
http://www.geos.tv/
EPISODE RANKINGS
GEOS allows you to order the episode of a series by their mean
scores,
effectively ranking the episodes in order of their popularity. This
ranking is recalculated each time a Member submits a score for an
episode. A new feature of the site is that this ranking information
is
cached after every five submissions, allowing you to see the trend
over
time. Is the episode gaining or falling in popularity? Now you can
see,
depicted by arrows on both the Episode and Season pages.
MEMBER DEMOGRAPHICS
Many Members have, over the past year, requested the return of the
Member
Demographics. We're pleased to announce that once again you can see
a
tally of how many people have submitted a score for any particular
series. You can see their breakdown by gender as well. 8,692 people
have registered with GEOS, 55.6% of them males. You have submitted
670,282 scores for 3,833 episodes across 46 series. GEOS Liaisons
have
entered over 100,000 airdates into the database to keep you informed
of
when your favourite shows go to air.
MEMBER COMMENTS
We're often asked whether it would be possible to allow Members to
submit
a comment, as well as a numerical score, for each episode. That
feature
is now available from every episode page. To submit your own
comments
you need to be a GEOS Member and have logged into the site, however
any
visitor can read the comments already submitted.
GEOS GROUPS
In addition to the new Member Comments feature, we have created three
discussion groups on Yahoo Groups to encourage interaction between
members. Discuss the merits of your favourite series or episode with
other GEOS Members. If these groups prove popular, a future addition
to
GEOS may be integrated discussion forums of our own.
GEOS SERIES
The Global Episode Opinion Survey now covers 46 current and classic
genre
series. A full list includes:
24 Highlander
Alias Jeremiah
Andromeda Lexx
Angel Lone Gunmen
Babylon 5 Millennium
Battlestar Galactica Odyssey 5
Blake's 7 Quantum Leap
Buffy Red Dwarf
Charmed Simpsons
Crusade Sliders
Dark Angel Smallville
Dark Skies Space: AAB
Dead Zone ST: DSN
Dr Who ST: TAS
Early Edition ST: TNG

KEEP GEOS GOING!
A website as complex as GEOS requires a lot of time and effort to
build
and then maintain. This effort is provided not only by the two site
owners, but also a score of GEOS Liaisons from around the globe, all
of
whom dedicate their time for free. The only reward is the
satisfaction of
contributing to the enjoyment of the television series we all love.
However, one thing is not free: the web hosting account which keeps
GEOS
online. A small financial contribution from each visitor to GEOS
would
keep this site running for a long time to come. Please consider
chipping
in a few dollars, pounds or euro to help save this site!

GEOS LIAISONS
Speaking of the wonderful work the GEOS Liaisons do to keep our
database
up-to-date with broadcast information from around the globe... If
you
have a little time up your sleeve and would like to help maintain the
information in the GEOS database, we're always looking to add more
Liaisons, especially in regions which have only a few. Many hands
make
light work! If you're interested, drop us an email at geos@geos.tv
and
tell us what region and/or series you would like to monitor.
GEOS TV REMINDERS
Those of you that have signed up for the GEOS weekly TV Reminder
email
service may be wondering why you haven't received anything. A
problem
with the script used to issue the Reminders has meant that some
regions
have failed to consistently receive the message. No amount of head
scratching has so far solved the problem. We will continue to work
on a
solution.
We'd also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry
Christmas
and a Happy New Year.
