Just a few lines to get people to donate to Save Farscape, I did and in a very short while I received my FREE Docu Dot does the Saturns region free DVD!!!
Its really cool, well authored with music and menus and I think is just one heck of a collectors piece! and is fan history.
If you are as crazy as me and have the DVDs(Live in the UK have all them+selection of American DVD from Hols in USA) Model figures (too many of them!) Traiding Cards, books, key rings!!
But hey for a small donation I think this is a great free bonus, plus it helps to promote our show too!
I live in the United Kingdom and it came by air mail in lightning speed, thanks WatchFarscape.
Have you see yours and what did you think?
What sort of things have you got in your collections?
I would love to know.

Tell us more about how wonderful it is, what great things you see (without giving it all away), and what people other than Cast and Crew you saw. ;->

hey, I just got mine yesterday, and watched almost all of it last night. It's really drad. Apart from some lengthy interviews with Ricky Manning, DK, Claudia, and BB (all of which are worth the price of admission -- especially for people who've never been to a Con and seen them as guests), it's got several sound bites with Adrian Paul, Andy Sirkis, Nathan Filion, and a few more people I didn't recognize -- probably because I'm too old! LOL!
Then, they recorded the press conferences at the end of the award ceremony, so you get more comments from Nathan Filion, our Farscape guys and gal (boy are they a hoot -- and not only good looking, but smart, too), Andy Serkis (who does a brief and jaw-dropping impression of Gollum), J.J. Abrams, Dean Zanuck (the Dead Lawyers guy), and The Speilberg. During this conference a lot of really good questions were asked, and everyone's answers are interesting and instructive.
All in all, there's at least about 45 minutes of solid material. And the production values are very good, especially considering that a bunch of 'Scapers pulled this together in their SPARE time!
Just a note, my very oldest DVD player (the five year old one) had trouble and wouldn't recognize the soundtrack, but everything worked just fine in my newer DVD player, and in my laptop DVD drive.
I would say that it's very good value for your $15 donation, and a must-have for the Complete Farscape Collection. Remember, this award show was virtually undocumented, so it also has unique value for that reason alone.
(Do you suppose that this could be made available to the Saturn Award members? I mean the Science Fiction Club that organizes the Saturns.)
(Yes, yes, I know that there shouldn't be any reason to be stunned by Mr. Serkis' impression of Gollum, but it's uncanny to see Gollum suddenly appear at a press conference in Hollywood.)

:thud: Wow grapeshot! Can I quote that on the DocuDot site?!?! :D
Thanks for the praise and I'll have to direct the editor here, I thought she did a truly oustanding job :) If you've never stood in front of four hours of footage of varying quality (with varying amounts of heads and floors and ceilings on them :D) you have absolutely no grasp as to just how monumental a task it is to take all that and edit it into a piece that makes sense and has a good and logical flow. I'm in utter awe of those people!
And of course they wouldn't have anything to work with if the cameramen and everybody else hadn't do an outstanding job as well!!
I'm sorry about the sound-problem, I didn't encounter it, but I never tried a really old DVD-player. We had trouble at some point on an older PC with a lot of other stuff running in the background...the sound went out of sync there.
I had a horrible, horrible time trying to get the master DVD burnt, because three different authoring software programs crapped out on me :( So I ultimately had to take a roundabout approach to get it done at all, which might be what's causing the problems. By now there is a patch for my editing program that deals with exactly the problem that made it impossible for me to burn the master using that program...the patch came out a month after I needed it!
I think your idea regarding the Academy is great! I'm waiting to hear back from the press-contact there who was going to get a complimentary copy for the Academy anyways. And, yeah, I was kinda hoping that ones they get to see it they'd go "Whoa! Can we get more of those for our members?" But you know what it's like, everything seems to shut down in the week before Christmas and then nothing moves until the next year!
Love and Peace and

I watched every second of mine yesterday and Wow! Not only the Farscape people, but everyone else was just great. I loved the Andy Serkis and Nathan Fillion interviews and press conference footage.
And Claudia's interview was out of this world. Then there was Ricky. I'm still going back and forth between laughing and shaking my head at him. Too funny.
This was a great production all around. Great job.
