While I'm relatively sure that this has already been mentioned, since I'm not that observant or media savvy, I thought I'd bring it up just in case. I just got my Feb. 2004 Jane mag. (I'm a magazine junkie) and it has a brief Farscape mention. In their entertainment poll is a section for DILFs. That stands for...dad I'd like to...fill in the rest. As a write in mention, it says, "Ben Browder from Farscape...it should be illegal for that man to wear leather pants!".
Oh, by the way...happy new years everyone!

THAT's a simultaneously disturbing AND intriguing thought.

I love Ben too!!! That makes my husband jealous though.
I don't know if anyone here likes Wayne Pygram but the February issue of Starlog has a good three page article on him. The magazine also mentions on a different page under the heading Sci-fi Tv briefly about Farscape returning as a four hour mini series which we all know by now.
Long live Farscape!

Isn't Jane's a news magazine? I used to get it... now it is a mostly online magazine... www.janes.com

Nope, wrong side of the spectrum, grinner. It's one of those nearly pornographic (haha) woman's magazine ala Cosmo.

But canceled after about six months, I thought it was a little butch and mainly femist group's. It may have changed, I had suvscription when it first came out.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought it was a magazine demographically aimed at teen girls?
At least when it was first introduced?

It was slightly edgy with a feminst view. It has probably changed since the market place has changed. Isn't everything geared to youn skinny girls and fashion. Jane use to have a political genre going. I'm sure it's gone a new direction. Sound's more positive if it mentions Farscape...I'm one of those who really use to like Cosmo, now I don't waste my money on it. Since Helen Girly Brown stepped down from her seat, it's gone to crap. Plus I'm not in my 20's anymore or 30's...But I do a great hot sexy 50. Any thing out there targeted at us, other than Health or Opera. If there is let me know.
The best magazine I ever subscribed to was OMNI, and now it's coput..... :kitty: :rollin: :smokin:

I subscribed to that one when it first came out. I think Iwas around 14 or 15 y.o. Great mag. Also subscribed to Scientific American then. I had a voracious intellectual appetite when I was a kid. I guess that's why I was so bored with school.

I would think the target demographic for Jane readers would be mid twenties to early thirties. That's really the age that most of the readers who write in to the magazine seem to be.
Some of it has a political slant...it is a fairly left magazine. The reason I really love it is because it's a lot more tongue in cheek than glamour or cosmo. I read those too, but in my opion, glamour and cosmo take themsleves too seriously. Jane seems to recognize that it's a fashion/sex/women's issue magazine, and seems to have fun with that.
