View Full Version : Sci Fi Channel's Farscape schedule for February

So, has anyone seen Sci Fi Channel's schedule for Farscape in February yet? There's not a SINGLE daytime rotation of Farscape scheduled.
(Check for yourself at http://www.scifi.com/schedulebot/ )
Argh, what is wrong with them? (Not only that, but they delayed -- for just one week, I hope! -- "Bad Timing," because of a showing of Terminator 2 that airs with -- I have to say it -- spectacularly bad timing.)
Granted, they're continuing the Sunday night showings of Farscape, and they're continuing the 3am-6am showings on Thursday mornings, but -- frell! What new viewer is going to be drawn in by those showings? The 3am-6am is just for people who are fans already to tape episodes they've missed. (And the people paying for commercials in these timeslots hardly have anyone paying attention because most of the viewers are watching recordings that they can fast-forward through.) That does make me wonder, though... Why is Sci Fi Channel suddenly airing actual programming between 4am and 6am? Didn't they used to run penis enlargement infomercials at that time of night? Anyway, all I can say is that Sci Fi Channel is damned weird. They had a Tremors marathon the day after Christmas, and Tremors is every bit as cancelled as Farscape, but without the large and vocal fan base. What the frell?

haesan, Are you really that surprised about Sci Fi's crappy schedule?
I do agree with you about showing the equally canceled Tremors during prime time instead of Farscape, bad choice. I guess it's just another nail in the coffin for Skiffy. We really should send flowers for the funeral, some Cala lillies would be nice!

Cala lillies? Wouldn't Birds of Paradise me more appropriate from us?
SciFi put a lot on the line for Tremors. They were so certain that it would be a hit. I suppose they're still trying to get an audience for it.

I've pretty much given up on SciFi. They were starting to slip a little even when Farscape was still on, and since then they've only gotten worse and worse.

Well, soon the whole series will be on DVD (not really soon, but soon), but that doesn't help attract new viewers (not that 11:00 p.m. Sunday night reruns help much, either).
We all know SciFi's strayed far, far away from good programming like Farscape (with only a few exceptions). I mean come on! Tremors the Series?! Who the frell thought that was a good idea?!
At least we've got the last laugh now. Tremors is good as dead and Farscape's making a mini series. I bet there's at least a couple cable channels interested in running the mini series (there's nothing like programming with instant ratings from existing fans).
Anyway, I said the schedule really sucks. At least they've stopped the Taken reruns (they were airing the same episode shown at 8:00 at 10:00!)

I'll just keep watching Season 4 on Sunday's, the rest is too mixed up and confusing. I'll just watch the dvd.

Works for me.
What is amazing is that SciFi whines about how the reruns don't get any ratings... Go figger?

*LOL* Yeah, but Sci Fi Channel sucks BIG.
By the way, this move to 11pm might be a really good thing. People watching whatever movie was on at 9pm might be drawn into Farscape at 11pm, instead of being "scared off" by Scare Tactics. Here's hoping.

Man, I had a really hard time deciding between "It really sucks" and "I'm an elf," but I finally had to go with it really sucks.

Yep, the schedule sucks... but I'm more interested in when Henson and Rockne and company and ??? will announce something...seems like it's been forever since we've had some official news!

Hey we are putting the Screws to the S.O.B.s ,
skiffy was trying to sell out buy collecting on the advertisements brought to them by shows like Farscape but instead of putting it back into the source they tried to make a quick easy buck by dumping it into some quick easy dren, and to justify it they started jumping Farscape's schedule all over the place to drop the ratings, what they are doing now is trying to discourage us.
it is a desperate act by desperate people, and I would not be surprised if they where facing being legally accused of unethical business practices.
so don't let the Bastards grind you down. "WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE".
for me it is fun watching skiffy go through it's death roles.
It sucks Budong balls for a reason.

Yes, it sucks...
I was soo upset, when no daily rotations, and worse yet, no BT, they must still be scared to show it...

No, it looks like Bad Timing is just pushed back a week because a movie on that Sunday night runs past 11pm. I think delaying it -- presuming that's what they're doing -- is better than airing it late and having some people miss it.
Although, I am amazed once again by their bad timing in changing Farscape's schedule. First they dropped the re-runs back to once-per-week right at Into the Lion's Den... Now they take a week off one episode short of the finale. *sighs* Freljiks...
