I have a goatee right now. Tried the mustache thing, could NOT handle it.
It just bothered me all the time.

I don't think I could shave off my goatee though, you're a brave man to expose yourself like that. :D

My son's father (baby daddy?) has a moustache, a la Tom Selleck. I have only seen pics of him from the late 80's without it. I would probably fall out in a faint if he shaved it; but he says he never will, so I can only guess. I don't know why he won't!

my boyfriend has a semi mustache goatee thing going on...i like it the way it is, which is scruffy, but i would never want it to look like it was intentionally groomed that way. when he shaves he looks really young. it takes off 3 years from his age and he looks like he's in high school.

I've always constantly changed my facial hair on a regular basis. For the longest time, though, (mostly during my 20's) I usually sported just a mustache. I've tried the full beard several times, but it doesn't come in that thick, and just looks too spotty. Plus, my neck hairs come in curly and I get mean ingrown hairs if I don't shave there regularly.

Just a goatie doesn't look good on me, but the goatie w/ mustache seemed to really work well over the last decade. Too many grey hairs to have to keep covering up, though. I'm usually not too comfortable with a clean shaven look. I think I look too much like a goober. I also have that Tom Selleck mindset. When asked about being sans mustache he once stated, "It looks like there's a mile of skin between the bottom of my nose and the top of my upper lip." :rollin:

I've had my beard for about a yearm for it gives people the impression that I may actually have a jaw and chin. Though I did shave it once to see if my double chin had finally dissappeared

Good on ya trubs. I get neked twice a year, but as Budda says, it takes me a couple of days to get used to the stranger in the mirror. I once grew my moustache out for a whole year. Ahhh, fun times. I don't know if you realize this or not but the average man's whiskers are said to grow 5" a year. Mine was slightly longer, in fact I could grab the ends and touch my ears (at that little cartilege tab in front of your earhole) with 'em. 'Twas a bit bushy though... :shrug: Now I just go into the barber and have him take it all off in March... :P

I don't know, I have mixed feelings on the facial hair thing. Sometimes, the 5 o'clock shadow looks great, but I just can't stand the feel of prickly hair on my skin.... As for beards and such, on older men they are okay. But if you are under 40, take it off! I am a big fan of the clean shaven look.

On the other hand, I saw an episode of queer eye for the straight guy where they got rid of this guy's toupe! They burned it and everything, and I really think he looked better with it on. I mean, I guess it's good that he can "be himself," but he did look better with hair :D

:rollin: I got a sample in the mail when the product first hit the market. Thank goodness I didn't use it in wash load for the underwear. Within 30 minutes of wearing those just washed clothes, I broke out in hives everywhere except my head and where I was wearing my underwear.
