The qujagan dubbed the Jigsaw men by the creature shop creators, they are made of little squares and can take themselves apart and put themselves together in whatever form they need to do whatever they are doing.

They make their planet look deserted, so they are either very paranoid, or they are hiding from something very, very nasty.

What could it be? Scarrans? Peacekeepers? or something we haven't seen yet? Whatever it is it should case more trouble for the Mayans.

I figure they're just wondering about the intruders. They do seem paranoid, but it could be they're afraid of all aliens or just peacekeepers or scarrans. I think most likely they'll be a minor threat that will take up one or two episodes worth of time, but it is possible that what they do will have lasting effects on the Moyan crew, the way other minor alien encounters have affected the characters with long term problems.
