Nice!
I wonder if he's going for a villian motif...although, it is arguable whether Scorpy is a villian or not...

That's cool but it better not interfear him and he wont be able to do the mini or any farscape....

Welcome, farsidescaper!!!
I'm sure it won't interfere, or at least that he'll be able to work around both schedules. Filming for the miniseries shouldn't be that much longer...what do you guys think? Another month or so, if that?

Be prepared for blasephemy...
The only bright side that I see in this is the fact that Wayne has found work to tide him over until more Farscape. This batch of Star Wars films is truly nothing special, and is a step-down for Wayne during the continued greatness of Farscape. I could write more, regarding my abundant disappointment with George Lucas, but why bother?
Sidenote:
I believe that Episode III has completed the majority of its filming, and is in the process of being made into a sterile CGI product for the masses. Meaning.......Wayne is likely available for Farscape.
The reference at Kansas also indicated that Wayne will be burried in Latex for the role.

I agree.. the new star wars movies shine with its absence of anything that could even remotely be called a soul

I can't find the pics, but I actually saw a Tarkin mask made by Image Creative Design for episode 3. It looked kind of like the Jack-Scorpius from Unrealized Reality, compare Tarkin and Jack-Scorpius.

Oh man, all Wayne Pygram would need to look like a younger Tarkin would be to let a little hair grow on his head.
Guys if this is true, we could seriously talk a lot of Star Wars fans into taking a look at Farscape by saying, "You think Darth Vader is mean, take a look at Scorpius."
This may really help lot with getting another season of Farscape made.

Don't worry about the Farscape/Star Wars shooting times; Star Wars 3 finished shooting in mid-september, with pickups scheduled for this March and April. Farscape's shooting now, and should be finished by March. Everybody wins - and Wayne gets the best of both worlds. :)

I don't know if anyone is aware or not, that Claudia Karvan( who playes Natira in the Liars, Guns, and Money trilogy) is in ep 3 as well as Padme's sister.
here is the current cast list. Notice no one is cast as Tarkin and some people on the list don't even have characters attributed to them yet. (http://www.starwars.com/episode-iii/castcrew.html)

Evil, that is debatable. Mean, angry, scientific genius, absolutely. :aok:

Nah, I just think that alot of the good aussie actors were either stars or guests on Farscape and they are cheaper than american actors since they are doing the films there.

From the same Starlog interview where we learned about Wayne's role in SWIII, he also mentioned that he's been in a theatrical production of "The Threepenny Opera" in Sydney. I think he has plenty of work to "tide him over", and like it or not, he does have a career outside of Farscape. I wouldn't like any of "our" people to wind up like those sad old Star Trek actors who can only get a living by going from convention to convention ...
As for Episode III, another reason for watching it is Dave Elsey and the Creature Shop are going to be doing the "monsters" this time around.

Ha! Mentioned to this a friend the other day:
She: What a pity he isn't playing Scorpius - I'd love to see him and Darth Vader together.
Me: But we all know who'd win!
Together: Scorpius!

I totally agree. The force is nothing when compared too genius, Grand Admiral Thrawn (Timothy Zahn Star Wars Trilogy) proved that.

He's moving up in the world:D

Not that we belive anything IGN has to say, lol.
ETA: I see that someone beat me to it. SO much for my Google News Alerts, lol. There is another thread somewhere on the FMD that disputes this story, too, but I cannot find it.

I have always thought this was a good choice for Tarkin although we have heard nothing since the allaged Pygram comments.

Looks like three of the original actors from the original Star wars trilogy are reprising their roles. Those are the same actors who played Chewbacca, c3po and R2D2 in the original movies.
I wonder when they will put Wayne's name on the cast list. Doesn't this movie come out May 2005?
Maybe Lucas wants Tarkin's appearance to be a surprise. So much for that.

May 19 2005. I do not want to give too much away but this role will be small.

Wayne's facial structure resembles Tarkin's so they look similiar in the face.

Well the pics that was linked to the make up tests were demanded by Lucasfilm to be removed. The only question is if it is Wayne under the makeup.
faustus

I though there was a story (don't know where) that he was under makeup.

The only connection made is that he allegedly told IGN I think that he was playing a charcter from the original trilogy. This is the only character that fits. I think that is why they have not put his name on the cast list because we would know for sure hat Tarkin is in the film and I think that Lucas and friends want it to be a surprise.
