? on Chiana in Kansas

I'd been thinking(that's dangerous:D ), anyway I know we've had threads on translator microbes, but I don't recall anyone discussing this aspect.

When Chiana is going after young John, she's speaking fluent English & he doesn't pick up on any "accent" at all. Where did she learn it? I understand Aeryn learning some English, but when did Chi?

By the way, why didn't older John figure out that "Karen" was Chiana?

Chiana didn't do much talking to younger John (and when she said drive, she made the gesture so its assumed he didn't understand/hear her correctly) and probably picked a few english words over the cycles, not to mention seemed to hang around Aeryn while she's practicing. As for older John not figuring it out...I think because of the dust sprayed on the younger him, he was only supposed to remember her name and the event, not her face. But who knows? Besides, its better he doesn't remember, might make things a tad bit *awkward*.

If you mean about loosing his virginity to her in the back of the pick up, it does make a bit of sense, sort of.

That ep was the begining of the timeloop (yes how does that work?) because not everything happened the way Crighton remembered. like his Father was never assigned to the Challenger, and the fire. So we can accept some deviation. But I still think after it happened then Crighton would have realized. It would have been great if there was just a moment later when a look of shock crosses Crightons face, and he shouts out "I had sex with Chiana!" and Aeryn right next to him goes, "You did what?!"

She tested it on our pal the sheriff, then let him go. Chiana volunteered to lure young Johnny to the abandoned house and keep him busy till we were ready.

I can guess how she did that, but I don't really want to know.

Once we were all set, Chi gave Johnny, a.k.a. young me, Noranti's syrup.

Good news: It knocked him out.

Bad news: It knocked him out so hard his heart stopped. He died. And I vanished.

I think he would have realized it as soon as he met her in DR. However, this was probably not thought out all the way back then, since Chiana wasn't even supposed to be a main cast member.

I can see it now. During the wedding, right before they both say, "I do", right then Harvey digs out that memory, causing John to involuntarily blurt out to everyone there, "I had sex with Chiana!" and Aeryn, in her wedding dress, right next to him goes, "You did what?!"

This causing all hell to break loose and Chiana running for the closest car/boat/plane/spaceship/vehicle that she can get her hands on, with one very pissed off Aeryn, with her pulse pistol, on her heals.

Meanwhile, Harvey is getting the mental pounding of his life from John.

i don't know, when i rewatched the episode in season one, where john first see's Chianna, he gives her this very slow/long "don't i know you?" sort of gaze...
