Scroll the list of languages. But beware, once you change it, you will have to figure out how to find the word English to turn it back. My favs? Elmer Fudd language, Swedish chef language (Bork! Bork! Bork!) and Pig Latin. Klingon doesn't seem to do anything.

Hehe... I'm setting up computers for people... Can you guess what I'm going to do?

:rofl:

I used to set my VCR up in French so that it would annoy anyone trying to use it. :)

One of the fun games you used to be able to do on a Macintosh with an older OS: Copy the Shut Down command into the startup folder.

It was endless fun watching people restart their Macs all day. (Until you turn extensions off...)

Bill that is wrong. Funny, but wrong. (Both ideas. But tell me how it works out, I love a good laugh)

We've got new ambulances with satellite navigation on them. They "speak" in two languages, english and german???
Waiting to try out the german on some poor unsuspecting patient, and say "yep, cause there are no available beds in NHS hospitals in th UK, we've been told to take you germany instead!"

Won't be nasty about it we'll only do it to the ones who don't even deserve to be taken to hospital with the insignificant illness injury that they have. [before anyone has a go at me for being cruel to sick people]

I'll top the Mac trick for users of windows.

Put the command.com short cut in the start up folder and set it to full screen - and if you're really hatefull change the default prompt from C:\ to something more fun like "File_not_found" - Hours of fun really!

Back before Windows 95, I copied slowdown.com onto a machine at the company I worked for. (This guy was a know-it-all that no one liked...) I then proceeded to edit his autoexec.bat file...

@echo off
slowdown
slowdown
slowdown
slowdown
slowdown
.
.
.
slowdown
slowdown
@echo on...

you get the picture. I think there was something like 30 copies of the line.

When you booted the computer, it ran so slow that you had to wait for each line to scroll up the screen. I don't know how anything else ran, because I couldn't stand waiting. The big laugh came the following day when I learned what he did: FORMAT. Since then, I've learned to offer to "fix" it for them.

The Mac trick can be done on a Windows box. All you need is to create a shortcut to a batch file that does the shutdown. If you do that to someone, you'd better be able to play the hero and undo it.

I like to change the settings and reverse people's mouse buttons and watch them try to use it.
