Box Set Problem

I bought the season 1 box set from amazon, and when I got it it was missing a disc(disc 4). Is this a common problem? I e-mailed amazon about it, but they'll probably say that I have to return it and buy a whole new one. Is there any other way to get the disc that I am missing?

Welcome, Astinus! :hi: I've never heard of that occuring before. :( The only way I can think of, besides replacing the whole box set, is buying the single volume of the disk you're missing... Sorry I'm not more help.

I thought it was odd too, because there is no damage at all to any of the boxes or the package itself... The only thing that I could think of is that they forgot to put the disc in the box before it got sealed up. I was so happy that it got here after I had spent all of my money on it, and now I'll probably have to return it :(

Ask ADV. Email at customer@advfilms.com They may just throw it back at Amazon, but you never know. Doesn't hurt to ask. :)

Thanks for the address, I looked around on ADV's website but I didn't find anything. I e-mailed them too, so now I guess that I just gotta wait for a reply from one of them.

Thanks for all the help. I've been wanting to get this set for a long time, but I never had the extra money. It sucks though, because I finally get the guts to spend $120 on this set, and it turns out bad...

disc 4 has "PK Tech Girl", and "That Old Black Magic" on it. I remember that I liked PK Tech Girl, but I don't remember that much about That Old Black Magic.

PK Tech girl is good :) That Old Black Magic isn't a favorite of mine, but it has one of my favorite Rygel scenes in it.

I recieved a reply from ADV. The person that e-mailed me was very understanding about my problem, and he said that they would mail me a copy of the disc that I need. I'm glad that they were nice about it, this made my day a lot better! I think I'll just continue watching the episodes that I do have. Once again, thanks for the help!

I have the set as well. "The Hidden Memory" on Disc 10 is messed up in some sets as well from what I understand. I tried to watch it, but there were green dots all over the screen and I could only hear audio. I e-mailed ADV Films and had a very pleasurable experience. They are very understanding and prompt. I haven't received the new copy of Disc 10 yet, but it should be arriving in another week or two.

BTW Astinus, I would check Disc 10 as well if I were you so you can get that replaced as well before you get too much further into the flow.

This is my first time posting. To be honest I forgot I signed up for it awhile ago. I belong to 3 or 4 other blogs (not pertaining to Farscape) and they took up so much of my time. Glad to finally get myself over that 1st post hump :aok:

BTW, I traditionally use long screen names so I fully expect the ICH. I kinda wanted to change my handle actually. Don't like it as much as I did back in May.

First I have heard of this happening, the Season 1 Farscape ADV DVD Boxset I brought from Amazon.com came complete and undamaged.

The first DVD I ever bought (The Little Mermaid) was empty. Since then, I have had the same thing happen on 3 other occassions. It got to a point where I was opening them in the store in front of the staff. The thing I don't know is that if it happens with alot of frequency or am I just unlucky.

Sounds like someone between you and amazon.com is stealing your mail. This has actually happened before in the past year.

Now your all making me paranoid.. I just bought the Season 1 box set, i'm going to have to check mine. Even if they are fine i'm going to have to watch all the episodes over and over inspecting them for something wrong just in case...

I work for Amazon.co.uk and we've got a good returns system. You wil should have been offered a replacement item for damaged/faulty goods and a disc missing would fall under faulty goods. in some situations you will get a full refund aswell as the replacement item too.

But you'd have to check up on the site for the most recent updates.
