Please only respond if you have bought the ADV farscape season 1 box set.

I got mine from Amazon.com, watched it all the way up to episode 20 "The Hidden Memory".. at which point the episode was unplayable in any of my 3 dvd players. when i play that episode, all i get is scrambled images with sound in the background. I contacted Amazon about the problem and they sent me another season 1 box set free of charge (they rock). But to my disappointment, the same problem occured in the same episode. I am just wondering if I am horribly unlucky or if you all have this same problem? If i'm just unlucky... I'm going to contact amazon about the problem yet again. Thanks

aaaargh. someone else complained about a very similar problem, only I think it was with a different episode. They were advised to contact ADV, who I believe will replace just that disk. This is not a normal occurrence. IF you get nowhere with that approach (which I very much doubt) the ultimate last resort might be to purchase that last disk as an individual episode -- you'll be able to find it for quite cheap over on eBay.

Alright, i'm going to try to contact ADV about it. The only reason i even posted on here is because i now have 2 box sets sitting on my desk, and both of them have a flawed episode 20. :)

I bought my season 1 box set over a year ago; no probems at
all. I'm very happy with it.

I bought a S1 boxset for a friend, and he had the exact same problem at the exact episode. I don't think he contacted ADV, however. He just borrowed mine.

I just contacted ADV and they told me there was a manufacturer error with that specific episode and they are doing a recall :D Just so you all know

Had a bit od decode problems on my sis' DVD but it works great on my Xbox.

I've had problems with V. 3.4 second disk - there is a warped area about the size of a dime on the disk and it won't play correctly and freezes up. I just emailed them about that. My copy of that DVD set was a gift so I can't take it back to a store.

About disc 10 on the season 1 box set, I'll just confirm that yeah, the episode "The Hidden Memory" was screwy due to a manufacturing problem; I just contacted ADV through their customer support (which is linked above in an earlier reply I believe) and they provided the means to replace that disc for free. Unfortunately it's supposed to take 4-6 weeks, but at least I didn't waste the other discs I already had or risk getting another box set with the same defect.
