I don't understand the little tag at the very bottom of the ad:

"PS: Tag, you're it!"

What does that mean? Is it a reference to something I don't remember?

It means we busted our asses to get your old jobs back now it's your turn to damn well make it worth it.

Hmm I wouldn't put it quite that way but still... :D

Or perhaps something a little less selfish-sounding.

Henson's, the cast and crew owe us NOTHING. What they have done for us, what they will give to us, will be in appreciation and recognition and love for each other and Farscape.

Just knowing there will be more Farscape has made everything worth it.

ouch. I guess people don't like a little drama added to their translations. Don't blame the messenger! They wrote it, not me!

I never really understood the "tag" thing either. I thought it was some inside thing that had happened at a convention.

I guess the cast and crew will each interpret it in their own way, just like we're doing here. I don't know any of them, only what I read here and in interviews, but I would imagine that DK would probably use Stars interpretation. On the other hand, Anthony and David would probably interpret it like TheBladeRoden. ;)

The main thing is we created an ad (wonderful job mycattoldme), got the money together in record time, it made it into the paper, and then somebody from Oz was nice enough to scan it (aint it great that Scapers are world wide?). :)

I thought I remembered reading somewhere that after the first ad came out, someone from the cast/crew or production (perhaps DK or BH) made a reference to it. Perhaps that has something to do with it.

"Tag, you're It!" A children's game whereby 'It' runs around working hard, trying to 'tag' someone else so that they would become 'It'.

The fans of Farscape have generated a lot of interest in the show and demonstrated devotion and commitment to the franchise. So much so, that a brand new mini-series is now in production. :bounce:

So now... the ball is in their court to keep the show alive. Tag! they're It!

When the show is in the can, we (the Farscape Fans) will be 'It' again, and we will continue our efforts to convert as many people to be fans as we can.

Makes complete sense to me....

Great translation "Nicola", it makes perfect sense. May I add that once the show is in the can, we (Farscape fans) and the cast and crew and producers, etc., will ALL be it together.

Yes, you are right PicassosLaughing - we will all be 'It' together. I just look at the situation that someone (or several someones) are the focus. Right now, that is the cast and crew. When it is in the can....then we all are 'It'!

But then again, maybe someone was quoting Bugs Bunny (?) or was it Daffy, who sang this between cartoons:

"On with the show, THIS is IT!"

[ I think it was Ethel Merman's originally from the title song in the musical "There's No Business Like Showbusiness". -But, I can't remember words the words. Irving Berlin tune.]

Sorry to post and run,

that's what i'd like to know too!

..... and i as well understood the "tag" line to be as the 'ball's in their court now', until we get it back. ;)

must admit, think the tag your it is a little cheeky, but i am sure Henson will love the message as it has cost scapers a lot of money. But I agree Henson should be say Tag your it to us as its really still up to us to get more people into the show.

Thanks Henson,

Lee

I like the Tag line - it is fun and implies that we are watching and waiting for more of their creative work. I see it as a very positive communication - especially as a playful p.s. at the bottom of a distinctive ad.

Thanks to all who organized this and I am glad that I could contribute in a small way to all your efforts.

:D
