I got someone hooked on Farscaped, I made a backup of my Farscape Season 1 Disc 1 to see if I could fit all of it on one 4.7gig DVD. It worked, yippee. I loaned to a woman at work cause she was curious about the show, and I was curious to see if her player would accept a DVD-R.

She loved the show, so did her 3 kids who are ages 7, 15 and 18. She wanted to know if I could copy the rest of the series for her. Of course I said no, and I won't loan my copies out. She seemed stressed, for good reason, I mean it's Farscape for pete's sake. I remembered the Library, and suggested she go there. She's in Farscape heaven now.

Well, it made me think, I should go there, and get me some DVDs for the weekend. Holy crap! I have a huge collection over 800 and growing. But I can't afford to purchase every DVD I want to see. The library rocks. I've gotten a whole bunch of Criterion sets which I rarely buy due to the price. I'm loving it. They got tons of foreign films.

I noticed they even got books too!!!

I'm really impressed with the library here in Denver. I just wanted to share this for those who like me, love DVDs, but can't find anyone to buy them all for me.

yeah. i've noticed that my local library has been stocking interesting things lately (not just PBS specials..... not that those can't be interesting, of course ;) ). every so often i find a movie i wanted to see but it somehow slipped through my 'viewing radar'.
