Now if THAT's not OT ... I don't know what is.

chocolate cake! I love chocolate cake!
Did you ever see that Bill Cosby stand-up special, where he's talking about what he fed the kids while his wife was out? He gives them cake for breakfast, and they're singing:
Dad is great! He gave us chocolate cake!

I usually don't care for chocolate cake, but I had the yummiest one for my birthday last year. Chocolate Truffle Cake. The cake was REALLY moist, and it had the creamiest icing on the outside and between the two layers of cake. That was the best cake I've ever had. *drool*

Chocolate cake is good, but MUST have chocolate icing or why bother?
Cheeses: sharp Sharp SHARP cheddar, provolone, baby swiss, jack, and mascarpone (for desserts).
We really do need a cheese smiley.

Happy birthday, Sawyer's Miller!!
:bday: :bday:
I agree birthday cake is awfully good but I never get birthday cake on my birthday.
Overall, even though a good chocolate cake (with chocolate frosting) is very tasty, I cannot pass up a Marble cake (I think that's what they are called) because of the combination of chocolate and vanilla.

Ice cream cake is the bestest! My bday is in the summer too, and that is what we always did (no family now, alas)...
I always liked the checkerboard chocolate & white cake with vanilla or chocolate chip ice cream. Yummy! :P

Mmmmmm, chocolate cake. I NEED CHOCOLATE!
MIPPIPPIPPI MUD CAKE
1-1/4 cup sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
5 eggs, separated
1 cup cold water
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt.
Combine sugar & cocoa in large bowl (a separate bowl).
Beat egg yolks till thick and add to sugar/cocoa mixture.
Add water & vanilla to sugar mixture, stir well.
Add 1/2 flour mixture, stir 50 strokes.
Add remaining flour mixture, stir 50 strokes.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; gently fold into batter with 20-25 strokes.
Pour batter into greased & floured 9 x 12 baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
DARK CHOCOLATE ICING
1 (8 oz) box unsweetened baking chocolate
1/3 lb. butter
2 T. cornstarch
2 cups water
4 cups conectioners sugar
Chopped pecans (optional)
Combine chocolate and butter in saucepan; heat over low heat to melt.
Place cornstarch in another sauce pan and add water, a little at a time, until cornstarch is dissolved; heat over low heat until mixture starts to thicken; remove from heat and add to melted choclate and butter, blending well.
Add confectioners sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture is smooth.
Pour/spread icing over cooled cake. Sprinkle on chopped pecans if desired. (Icing recipe is more than enough to cover cake; store leftover icing in the refrigerator, or eat with a spoon).
The best part, NO CALORIES. :ewink:

Favorite pie: Heath crunch pie from Perkins
Favorite cake: Turtle cake. It's chocolate cake with a caramel, pecans, and chocolate chips in the middle. Its yummy warmed up a little, topped with ice cream drizzled in chocolate syrup and caramel.
