I can be rather sarcastic but since my brain isn't functioning anymore, I think I'll have to hold off on this thread until tomorrow.

okay okay....

gimme gimme gimme... i'm gonna be needy.. i neeeeed your most sarcastic, most witty sayings... things that you just itch like crazy to say to others, but can't because you'd lose something important (like job, jewels, wife/husband, etc)... this is the place to air all that out...

plus it gives me stuff to snurch and use at work!! :D

When someone askes me how it is going...
I typically say 'It goes well... somewhere... but not here'

not that sarcastic... but:shrug:

KellEy.. "red"

it's gotta start somewhere...

someone asks me how i'm doin, i say "well, i could complain but it wouldn't do any good!"

grinner
01-24-2004, 09:13 PM
some days I complain, but not right now.

KellEy.. "red"

not looking for complaints... just some sarcasm... wit... and you seem to have an overabundance of it most of the time--- except of course when i ASK for it!! *grin* ;)

whenever someone asks me to go faster...usually concerning work...I reply...
I have one other speed besides this. and you wouldn't want to see that.

But I am a generally fast worker. I use the term EFFICIENT, but whatever.
so they can just go and FRELL OFF!!!

opps..sorry..that was getting into the 'complaints' area...and we're not supposed to do that...

WHAT
ever.

KellEy.. "red"

The problem I see with sarcasm is that it's off the cuff, and very situational. Not so much what is said, but rather how and when it is said that makes the difference. Remember George Costanza's shrimp come back?...

Off the cuff: Yeah,, and who else???!!!

This is one from last night, as I was too tired to post it when I got home:

No, I'm sitting here with my headphones on busily typing away on my laptop because I WANT to be bothered.

KellEy.. "red"
01-25-2004, 04:20 PM
don't ya just love when you're talking to someone and they suddenly look at you and say.. "HUH? who? me?"...

nooooo.... i was talking to the wall.. just thought i'd see if it would talk back..

BlackThorn

Hey, now. I did that a lot a couple days ago. Of course, I was doped up on codine and was in Denny's where I couldn't always tell if the server was talking to me or to the dozen other people around me.

KellEy.. "red"
01-25-2004, 04:38 PM
i was talking about when it's just you and one other person in the room... and they're totally oblivious--- even though you've been having a conversation with them...
