Hey fellow scapers! i'm still pretty new here but everyone seems really friendly! thanx

right so then vaseline! just to warn you, if you start putting vaseline on your lips then stop suddenly your lips will go really sore and red and they will become chapped! ( not pretty!!) so STAY AWAY!! from vaseline!! just thought i ought to tell everyone that!

You get the same effect with chapsticks. By keeping your lips coated, your body cuts back on the natural moisture protection is usually forms. So when you stop using it, your body needs time to figure out that is has to produce more lip moisture again.

It's kind of like the problems Virginia Hey had with her makeup. She said that after several months of filming in Zhaan makeup, (which she couldn't sweat through) her body would stop sweating in those areas, even when she didn't wear the makeup.

I know, but sometimes vaseline is the only thing you have handy and it does provide quick relief.

So that's my problem...I have chapsticks all over the place...I carry them with me all the time...

i couldn't live without vaseline, a great solution is to keep using it and buy in bulk, then you get it cheap and you will never run out. Thanks for the warning ass mc ass i will try to cut down, you may have saved my lips and i will be eternally gratefully for that. Thanks again

Me too! I keep a stick in almost every room in my house.

I've wondered how my fiance's lips stay so kissable, even though he doesn't wear any chapstick (although he does get generous doses from me). :lech:

And then you have freaks like me who haven't been capable of producing their own natural lip moisture since they were a baby. Not common, but it sucks.

It's pretty dry where I live, without chapstick your lips can get all dried out and crack. Even if you have never used it before.

did you see on 'I'm a celebrity' (the uk version) they were greasing their beds with vaseline to keep the bugs away, and it worked. Where would we be without vaseline.

I knew this thread would degenerate. It was inevitable, given the subject title.
