Welcome aboard Ash. I'll give you the heads up here since you're new.

A lot of threads here in the OT's were about films, TV shows, and such and the mods took a vote and decided to open up a subforum which you'll see at the top of the main OT page. They called it OT-TV /movie ville, or some such thing. This is where most of the discussion takes place about TV shows and films. There isn't really any harm in starting a thread here for this topic as all of us frequent both forums, but I think there are some Star Trek discussions going on in the sub forum now (can't remember for sure), and would like to see your input.

Anyway, welcome to Frell...

Hi Ash, and welcome to FMD! :D

Many of us enjoy ST... I like all of them except for Enterprise, which I just haven't been able to get into. But yes, here in the OTs and most likely in OT-TV/Movie-ville you'll find particular discussions about ST.

But this being the OT forum, you should feel free to bring up any topic you'd like that isn't Farscape-related. As you can probably tell, we've got a variety of interests here!

The only one that I liked was DS9... because there was some semblance of Continuity from episode to episode. A continuing storyline... with a begining, middle and end. Even though I felt the end was a bit rushed.

I liked DS9 for the longer story arcs. Next Gen always had everything wrapped up in an hour. I would have liked to see them "freak out" a little bit more. Frankly, the humans in Next Gen just didn't seem that normal to me. Voyager was worse. I could see the crimp marks left by that cookie cutter, although it did get better towards the end.

Well; to all of you i think that Voyager was the best: One; because it is so modern and two because of the speciel effects.

The Enterprise series shown on channel four was WAY to COPYED!!

I like the original series's by Gene Rodenberry.

My fave is DS9. TOS is in a category by itself; I can't even compare it to the following series.

I liked MOST of TOS...but let's face it..some of the story lines were pretty bad there too....( " Brain & brain...what IS brain?")

The Next Generation started out bumpy , but I think progressed , though I agree sometimes the characters were a bit too bland. Several episodes though were outstanding.

DS9 captured my attention the most ....a little more " rough around the edges" and I also enjoyed the story arc.

Voyager had enough to at least keep me watching , but again it wasn't until later on that I really enjoyed it.

Enterprise just can't keep my interest. I catch it here & there but it's a long way from what we saw even in the other series, and I confess Farscape haas spoiled me for what CAN be.

Well i have to say that EVERYONE in this forum has ABSOLUTLY EXCELENT taste for the CULT MASSIVE!!! (If that IS the correct term which i hope it was!!)
