KRAD announced on his blog that the Farscape Comics would be over in 3 issues. :sadbye:

Can't say that I'm not disappointed. I really enjoy the comics. But, as Keith pointed out, it is unusual for a licensed comic to last as long as Farscape did. Well, here's to Keith for bringing us new Farscape. You did an awesome job and I look forward to the final three issues. I'll keep my fingers crossed for new Farscape content in the future.

Nooooooooooo! [Shakes fist at sky]

Oh dear.
I do mean that seriously. As wimpy as it sounds. I didn't want to shout NOOOO (gregorach had beaten me to it) and... well, I just don't know what to say.
Needless to say I doubt everything will get done. There's still a tad of foreshadowing with the "vision" we had of Deke in Moya a while back, and I don't know if we can deal with the Kkore that quickly.
But, plot threads aside, I have enjoyed the comic immensely. It's had some damn fine scripting, good storylines and great artwork. The D'Argo, Scorpius and "Gone and Back" stand out for me as great pieces of Farscape-ness. These are things that wouldn't have gone amiss in the TV series itself.
Unfortunately I don't think the comic got the readership they wanted - last I heard it was about 2000-3000 copies being sold each issue.
The comics will always have a place in my Farscape collection, along with my DVDs, magazines, books and, yes, even the PC game (which I really should play again at some point). They've continued the story well and if there were ever to be any more I'd certainly buy them.
(and they didn't frelling do the storyline I wanted where Rygel persuaded D'Argo and Zhaan to help him escape - I'd have loved to see that!)
KRAD, thanks for continuing the Farscape series in such a terrific way. Also, a quick shout-out to Will Sliney for the amazing work he's done on the expressions of the characters (Sikozu in her last issue was excellent).
And will someone PLEASE answer me as to whether a lot of the ships are CG?
Everything will get done. "The War for the Uncharted Territories" was always going to end with #24, and I've known for months that #24 was also going to be the last issue of the comic. This isn't catching me off guard or forcing us to rush to finish anything. The whole idea is to go out on our own terms rather than having a cancellation sprung on us.

Fair dos then. At least the comics have more time to prepare for an ending, unlike the TV show itself.
But there are still questions unanswered, such as who hired Roiin and why? And again, what's the deal with the quick "vision" we saw of Deke in Moya as everything fell apart (I think it was in Tangled Roots)?
Perhaps these questions will get answered, or perhaps not - we can't expect ALL the questions in any show or comic to be answered, they can always leave us with some mystery.

ICv2 shows approx 3900 copies of #21 shipped to comic book stores:

The drop in overall comic book sales appeared to be industry wide earlier this year. There's a lot more on this here where they talk about stuff like sales moving out of comics stores and into larger bookstores and more people buying from Amazon and reading comics online: http://fictionalnarratives.wordpress.com/2011/08/02/icv2-white-paper-an-annual-review-of-trends-in-the-comic-book-industry
The kids picking up comics, they're going for stuff like Disney, Toy Story (Pixar), Pokemon, Transformers and Archies; while the adults reading more hardcore stuff like Farscape are dropping out due to the recession maybe.
I had to stop buying myself again after workhours got cut again last month.

No Spoilers here...yet
I just read the last issue over the weekend and thought it was great. Things were wrapped up pretty quickly but it worked. I'm looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say about it.

A review will be coming when I've got time but I agree with Camulvey - the last issue was pretty good. Whilst things were wrapped up quickly, to me it didn't feel like it.

This year's Free Comic Book Day worldwide will be on Saturday May 5th. Many comic book stores will be offering both FREE comics and special discounts on older issues to clear them out.
It might be a good opportunity to snap up the last of the Farscape Comics for your collection.
