Throughout the Online game industry I have run across game after game that just does seem to have everything that makes a great enjoyable, replayable online game. Many different factors come into play: Graphics, Story, versitility, customibility, gameplay, time, bugs, and just plain old over all quality.
Now many of you might have played a couple games I find to be higher quality than most of the other online games around, my 2 favorates are Final Fantasy XI, and Eve. Final Fantasy has some very good qualities, large world, great graphics, chocobos, and a wide range of skills, jobs and quests. Though it has all these good qualities, it just has too many problems to be a great game. Time is one of the biggest problems, it can take several weeks to gain a single level when reaching higher levels, this is its largest drawback, as well as other small problems here and there.
Eve is a space ship based MMORPG which came out in europe before the US, but turned out to be a very well created game for space lovers. Only drawbacks, you cant walk around in your own ship, stations or planets. and there isnt alot to do in space: Mine, defend yourself, make something at a station, or attack someone else. Though the graphics are high quality, you still fly through planets, and the sun shines right through everything, including your ship. again, several other small problems here.
Before I go any further, I must appologize, college has turned me into a essay freak....sorry.....
anyways, If we took the world of Farscape, tossed it into a graphical based game such as EVE, mixed in walking around and interactions with planets, npcs and other players, Im sure that it would be a superb game. not only would it be a great game that many would buy, but it would also get others to learn more about farscape and its legacy.
what yall think?
