"Tiny Texan" :roflmao:

Angel getting a bit of his spirit and determination back. :woohoo:

The end was just . . . beautiful. Made me cry. While I've throroughly enjoyed this season of Angel so far, nothing until the end of tonight's episode came close to making me cry, and I really appreciate that it did this time. I thought it was a great send-off for the second oldest character on the show. It was so much better than leaving her in a coma. Cordy got the chance to leave with the grace and valor she developed over the years. Great one for a 100th episode.

I am a little sad to see one of the last 2 original, longest lasting characters go... cause I have always loved Cordie's character. :cry2: I also had a little mist starting in the eyes.

No mist here- it sucked! Kille her off??? :pissed: :bballbat:

And Andrew is running around as a character still- give me a friggin break!:boom:

I don't know what happened behind the scenes with Charisma Carpenter that lead to her leaving the show, but her appearance illustrates how much energy is missing from Angel now. It really is less of a show without her in it. :ppbb:

So for me it's a big :frellyou: to Joss Whedon and Co.

(Believe it or not, outside of the ending I thought this was the best episode in a while- just hate how they ended it- dignified for her or not!)

Oh, I'm sad to see her go too. She added something to the show that only she could add. But if they were going to write her out, I think that was a great way to go out. Fitting after all the growth she went through on the show. To see selfish, bitchy Cordy from Season 1 of Buffy become this beautiful, courageous woman. It was fitting.

RIP Cordelia Chase :cry2:

Actually it wasn't bad blood at all. Ms. Carpenter had a baby during the filming of Season 4 and wants to be a stay at home mom for a few years. Joss tried to get her for half the season, but Charisma declined. Joss was willing to do anything to get her to reconsider. Cause Joss REALLY likes Charisma... and the character of Cordelia.

Wow....I got all teary eyed also....Cordelia was one cool chicka! Her character grew so much thru all those seasons, what a wonderful opportunity for an actor! AND they showed DOYLE! Man, what a FAN-FRELLING-TASTIC episode! I've been underwhelmed with this season of Angel, but this ep was really really REALLY good......I'll miss Cordelia:(

Thanks for that insight- and good for her and her family- but still- they didn't have to kill her!:grr:

Actually, killing her off was the only way I could see them doing it. Leaving her in a coma forever? :yuck: Having her get sucked into some other dimension? Been there, done that with so many characters. I can't see Cordy leaving town with Angel and the gang still working at W&H. She would have stuck around until things were sorted out. She'd grown into the type of woman who sticks by her friends through their hard times. She may not agreed with them, but she would have done her best to help them, even from the sidelines. So, really, death was the only way I can see.

They were supposed to kill her off in the season finale of season 4... but Joss was still trying to get Charisma to okay some episodes for season 5. I think that this was a very tasteful way for Cordelia to die. :cry2:

RIP Glenn Quinn Actually the Glenn Quinn bit really sent a chill up my spine - I think they already dedicated an episode to him about a year ago, but that Season 1 outtake was really rather chilling.

He really was the Jossverse's first casualty. No guest appearances for him...

And in another dose of mega-irony:

The SPACE Channel in Canada is airing Angel stripped in reruns.

Last week was "City of..." which aired at the same time as the LA Feed's new episode, which was a direct parallel to the pilot.

Tonight's episode is the one where Doyle died.

Some sort of cosmic coincidence?

I mentioned this over in our SPACE discussion:

Did anyone notice the foreshadowing of the ending?

Cordy hiding her body.
"The first to fall." When NO OTHER of the Angel Inc crew has ever died?

Among others: "I understand now..." bit about Doyle.

"The powers gave me one last chance..."

"You've gotta answer that call"

She was so trying to tell him, and he so wasn't listening.

And now he has to tell Buffy, Willow, and Xander :bawl:

Great episode, everyone loves a good ghost story. :D

I am sure Lindsey will be back, probably are roasting in a Hell Dimension with Senior Partners for a 100 years or so, 4 months in Earth time... :smokin: (See Season 3 of Buffy)

As for Cordelia, two words: Guardian Angel... :aok:

I watched Showtime's "Dead Like Me" this season, and I swear this guy looks SO much like Glenn Quinn ...

Dave Fury was at Bronze Beta answering questions this morning,

Here's the archive:

Do I need to say SPOILERS for 5-12 (and one hint about a guest character that might be considered spoilery)...

Charisma Carpenter did a short interview for TVGuide Online today:
http://www.tvguide.com/news/insider/

She doesn't rule out a return visit by Cordelia, even after death. And since when has death stopped a determined soul in the Buffyverse? (Where is good ol' Lilah, anyway?) But she does seem to agree with Joss Whedon that Cordelia's journey on the show limited how much further they could take the character.

Very good episode and I have to agree, I liked that cordy didn't just die, she got to come back one last time to help Angel. It was sad but very well written.

Ok, I finally saw the episode. And damn it! Now, I need a drink! A really strong drink!

That was so freaking sad. I was expecting Cordelia to just leave -- to just go out into the world on her own. But I wasn't expecting her to die. Damn it! I love Cordelia's character. I've missed her energy this season a great, great deal. Now, I'll be missing her forever.

God, I'm sad now!

Argh!!

Frelling great episode! I was happy to see Cordy back. I really haven't missed her this year, what with Harmony and all. But it was good to see her back in action. I liked the ending, but I'd have preferred to see her go back to Pylea and marry the Gru.

Nice props to Doyle, too. Kind of tied everything together from S1-4.

Can't wait for S3 to come this week! Yippee!!!

Fantastic episode for this show. It's sad to see the character go, but that's what makes good drama.

The way they laid it out was brilliant. It was touching and poignant and heartbreaking.

Just brilliant.
