Deepdiscountdvd.com STILL hasn't sent my 4.2 DVD. According to the website, 4.2 is on backorder. Does anyone have any information about when they will have it available?
This is why I order from deepdiscountdvd in the first place! They may have lost my business ... I could have bought it at Best Buy ten times already!!

I just ordered 4.1 and 4.2 earlier this week, and my order status say they'll be available for shipping on 2/13.

Figures. That's about three weeks late. From now on ... Best Buy it is. They ALWAYS have a ton of Farscape in stock.

Yeah, other places keep it in stock better, but if you're tight on money and can afford to wait a little longer, deepdiscountdvd is the cheapest.

Actually the price is the same at Best Buy. It usually fluctuates a dollar or two. 4.1 is 23.99 there 4.2 is 25.99. If you can walk in and get 4.2 the day it comes out (which I did) what's an extra two dollars?

Not at my local Best Buy. The lowest they've had it was $29.95. And as tight a budget as I'm on, $2 is another night I can afford to go out to write, and $6 . . . well it's a big difference for me.

I got mine from Deep Discount about 5 days after release date (which was too late!) but I had pre-ordered it two months before the release date! I think DDDVD is not ordering enough Farscape to keep up with demand. They used to be a lot better/faster. My first few orders with them arrived 5 days after I submitted the order.
I would get mine from Best Buy -- their prices are very good now -- but I'd have to travel 4 hours round trip. So, for the time being, DDDVD is it for me.
I already pre-ordered 4.3 from them.

$29.95? Wow. That sucks for you. I would have thought that being a huge chain the prices were the same all over. Guess not.
You go out to write, and it cost's money?

Ours is pretty new. It just opened a few months ago, and I've noticed everything seems to be a little more expensive than at other Best Buys.
I go out to write, and since I'm using up space in a booth at Denny's to do so, it costs money in the way of at least ordering something to drink and tipping the server. They treat me well there, and I wouldn't want to take up a booth that could be filled with other customers without ordering anything. That's how I've stayed on good terms with them for 8 years.
I can write at home, but for my big projects, Denny's provides the best environment for me. The background noise forces me to focus. At home, even with music on, it's so quiet my mind tends to wander all over the place. Don't know why. I just always get more done at Denny's.

Actually, I used to live in PA and the Best Buy there (which was also pretty new) had the Farscapes for $26.99 or $27.99. I moved to FL a few months ago and here (at a BB that's been around a while) they have them for $23.99 or $25.99. I had just assumed that they had universally dropped the price across the board but based on what you're saying I guess thet could still be higher back in PA.
Chalk up another good side effect from the move. I was happy enough with no snow but cheeper Farscape DVDs are nice too. :aok:

Having worked for a chain store, I can explain this price difference. Most companies have a plan called "competitive pricing." What happens is they have have different prices for different levels of competition. So if there is another store in the area that has a common stock (Sun Coast, Sam Goody, etc.), they have lower prices.
Example, I worked at a Gamestop. There were no other video game stores in the city, so we had higher prices then a Gamestop 45 minutes away. The only difference is at the other town they had an EB.
So that's it in a nut shell.

That may be true of some places but not Suncoast. They are equally overpriced everywhere no matter who else is in town or even next door.
