Assuming John an d Aeryn survive the crystalization intact , and assuming the pregnancy comes to a healhy conclusion--- what do you think they will name the baby?

Will it's surname, in Sebacean traditon, be Sun--or in Humaan tradition be Crichton-- or they could hyphenate Sun-Crichton

If a boy-- maybe Jack, so he could be John Robert Crichton III, or Trey. What else?Ben, Neil- Ben's broher?

You can probably rule out: Bilar, Jothee,Malden,Scorpy, Rygel and D'Argo and Talyn. Any ideas

If it's a girl, maybe after John's mother, his sisters Olivia or Susan. I can't think of any Sebacean names

Probably not, Chianna, Zhaan,Noranti,Mylan(sp?-Grayza's name), Jool,Natari, Xylax(sp?),Katrella, caroline or Alexandria(John's old gilrfriends. Any ideas?

I think it should be a girl and I think her name should be Hope.

Since Aeryn chose the name for Moya's baby, I see Pilot/Moya choosing the name for Aeryn's baby. I see it being a Lavaithan's word for peace. So, the name would be - "Lavianthan Word For Peace - a name John picks - Sun."

In the Horizons story I think they had a boy and named it J.T. whether they still do this in the episodes is up in the air. I personally like the name J.T.

I think we had this discussion before because I think there was this thread before.

At any rate, I think the general concensus was that Rockne wrote "Horizons" just like some people write fanfic. It's not meant to be real...at least that's what a lot of us believe.

Boy- Jack Talyn or Talyn Jack, why? It fits both of them, her father, his...

Girl- Olivia ???

last name- I'm guessing sun-crichton will be it.

Coinean Crichton

I don't see them putting the name Crichton in there anywhere for the safety of the baby-look just how much trouble John has been in with that name! Not to mention the enemies the baby would have to begin with.
As for the first name, I could see a boy being Robert John III in the tradition of the south. (John being a good southern boy and all)
If it is a girl, I could see the name Olivia in there somewhere-maybe the first name; maybe the middle name-but surely in there somewhere.
I would think that Aeryn would want some say in it, but since her family wasn't quite as close knit as John's I think she will let him choose the name and I believe that it will be one of the two mentioned above-
I do think that the last name of the child will be Sun, as I said Crichton would bring too much attention to the baby.
JMHO~

I don't know, reguardless of the last name, the baby is gonna attract attention and enemies, so I doubt it matters much, they gonna still kidnap, hurt, and try to kill it...

I don't think Aeryn would be likely to choose Xhalax after her mother--bit of conflict there. Wasn't Henta the one she torched in the command carrier-- doubt that. Don't think Gilina, although she's probably no longer Jealous and Gilina did die helping them.

The most often suggested name has been Hope, kind of like that too.

Haven't seen a consensus forming on a boy's name yet.

how about Chase or Hunter, since there's a good chance he or she will be chased or hunted?

I thought Zhaan for a while, actually.

But you know what? Hope is probably gonna be it, and I'd be a little sad if it weren't.

Besides, look at my custom title. "Keeper of Hope". I think that's funny... :)

I think Hope is cheesy.

John's dad was his hero, his mentor and the guy he holds himself up against in comparison. Considering the chances are nill that he weill ever see his father again I can't see them naming their son anything BUT Jack. I'm hoping that J.T. in Horizon was short for Jack-something.

I think it would be a shame and a disgrace if they named thei child anything else.(I mean the writers)

Very well said Kaelin. I couldn't agree with you more. This is definitely something John would do - honor the man he most admired. ;)

I like to speculate about the untold aspects of Farscape as much as anyone, and maybe I've been away from the boards to long, but why come up with names for the baby when Rockne has already told us what the little ones names will be?

After looking up the meaning behing their names, I can see why he selected these in particular. They do describe an offspring of John and Aeryn beautifully.

JT - Rockne did clarify what the initials stand for , but I agree with Kaelin here -Jack.

John/Jack - God gave
Aeric - Ruler/Ever-Powerful
Kella - Warrior

Where and when did Rockne say the baby was to be named JT?

You mention *horizons*, is that someone's fanfic?

I, personally don't like initials for names. Having suffered through school and like with an unusual first name and then marrying an unusual last name--Your name is what?????- I would prefer a nice straightforward given name preferably with a second name as well, I don't care if it's Human or Sebacean or one of each-- but initials are a cop-out IMHO.

"Horizons" is Rockne's short story that came out in the last Farscape magazine.

If you don't have the last Farscape Magazine, SabaceanBabe was kind enough to post the short story in the Realities thread.

You should read it. It's great! Here's the link:

I like JT and I have heard Hope come up alot, and thought it was a little cheesy but it fit.

What about Sun of Crighton :D

Hmm, names, names:

Girl:
Some Sebacean thing
Gilina...maybe but not likely
not Xhalax
Mo (dirivitive of Moya) Ha I joke.
Patience

Boy:
Some Sebacean thing
Not any of the male characters we've seen except for Jack
Tyler pops into my head.

Hmm, I don't know.
