I know 11 people who are due to be having babies this year! 11!!! That's gotta be some kind of a record. I mean, I didn't know I knew 11 people, let alone 11 people who were pro-creating!

Just thought I'd share. Anyone else having a similar epidemic?

For the record, I am not one of the 11. Thank God! :D

Seriously, guys, it's a bit insane. 11. It just boggles my mind everytime I think about it!

The sad part is, there are at least 4 who shouldn't be having a kid anyway!

Might be a matter of YOUR age influencing events.

In my own case, in about two years I was either an usher or best man in a half a dozen weddings, and I was an normal guest at about a dozen others.

More recently, about half of those have ended in divorce in the last four years or so.

You tend to know people at a certain stage of life close to your own... it isn't a random sample.

Yeah, but this ranges from everyone to a 19 year old knocked up by a drug dealer to a 21 year old w/ no short term memory, to newlyweds, to my former pastor who is 45, to a cousin who went in for a tubal ligation and found out she was pregnant.

I totally agree with what you're saying, oh wise Buddha!, but there is diversity in this group.

No one I know personally is preggers yet, but almost everyone I know has a friend or family member who is expecting or just had a kid. I like knowing . . . so I can stay the frell away from those people to avoid catching whatever it is they have. :D

And no water for me, please.

"Hey, you pregnant or you just getting fat?" :rollin:

Ummmmm.... and what about the lack of a certain female monthly bodily function??? :g2f:

FieryHands

Someone women still have that function during pregnancy.

They certainly do. And she did. And my neighbor had the same thing happen to her. Docs told her she couldn't have kids and she never got that certain female bodily function anyway, so why should she notice?

Both babies are fine though, so it's all good.
