At the end of Won't Get Fooled Again, Scorpy (Harvey) is talking with Crichton after he took care of the Scarran. John suddenly cannot talk about the chip in his head. Scorpy somehow represses it I guess. Then in Liars Guns and Money, John is talking freely about the chip in his head when he offers himself to Scorpy for Jothee. When was Crichton "allowed" to know about the chip?

I guessing when it's job was done... that's just me though

Or maybe the block is only in effect when it (the chip) thinks what he'll say will betray Scorpy.

It might be some combination. Maybe John can only talk about the chip when the chip has already harvested most of the information it needs and when what John says won't cause any potential interference with the chip gathering information from him.

I forget exactly what happens, but the Scorpius nero clone even says to Criton that he should not be able to access knowledge of the clone. So even it, the clone, is surprised. I don't think of the clone as Harvey until after the chip is remove. Harvey is a neural imprint.

Thanks for your input! Anybody have David Kemper or Rockne's email address? I'll write to them and ask!
Thanks again!

At the end of Liars, Guns, and Money Part I, Scorpius himself tells Crichton that he put a chip in his head, so he is getting the information from an outside source, not his subconscious. I think that's why he can remember it, although he does think he's learning about it for the first time. He now has a reference point to explain his erratic behavior.
