My own spin on current *HOT* Topics

Now I know I don't have any say about choosing which topics are to become off-limits, and understandable I am a Newbie here so I don't have any say on such things but I just thought I'd give my own insight on the current problem that has been resolved. It seems that from what I have read is that sides were set in their ways and there was trouble brewing because of that. I know this is a Farscape board (of which I have to say the show is the best show ever) I believe that such boards are set in place not only to organize us, but more importantly get us to know more about one another. Though these are topics that seem to cause unrest amongst the masses I myself enjoy a good debate, when it slowly degrades into namecalling and such that is where the problem is. Honestly I respect the rules that have been put in place but I would think that since we're are dealing with a part of the board that is general chat you should take into consideration that the "style" of the board often takes a back seat in such areas.. Since I've posted over the past three or so years this has become quiet evident. Anyways enough of my ranting I just wanted to say something about all this but saw that the other threads had been closed. :(

Oh yeah I understand the war is off-topic.... but how about politics? :)

Politics seems to still be open. But I am personally asking myself why am I choosing to post certain articles before I post them. If I think people will find it interesting, then I post. If upon retrospect, it seems to be an article that continues to reinforce my own personal opinions with no new information, then I choose to refrain.

The cool thing about this board is that we do actually care about each other. Unfortunately, sometimes in a rush to reply to a post, things someimes get phrased badly or we don't double check out posts. And once it is out there, well... it is hard to take back. But we try to be better. We try to be nicer. And we are willing to apologize and recognize that we have gone too far. :D

Cool, I know it was strange that I had posted a possible topic but since I am new here I would have rather held off on posting topics that may have been "off-limits" so I wouldn't have started up something that had already been closed. Like I said I didn't want to get off on the wrong foot with all of you on here :)
