Is the mini series supposed to be the end for now or will we get another season in the future. I have been hearing all types of scenarios around here. I guess that it all depends on how well the mini does. I just know that I will be glued to the TV that night. I can't wait. Seeing that picture of Jool was a tease. I am so glad that she is back and if the mini is the end, I am glad that everyone is coming back to say good-bye... for the time being of course. I predict Aeryn and John will get hitched in the mini.

I have my own opinion.... it's wild speculation based on absolutely nothing..... but....... I think..... they're making a 4-hour mini.... and the mini will end with "To Be Continued...... In Theaters - Summer 2005" because they're filming a feature film as well.
Just wild speculation on my part. I can dream, can't I??? :cloud9:

Some of the hints around seem to indicate that the mini is supposed to wrap up at least some of the major story lines, so that the series plus the mini would provide a complete "package" for syndication.
However, IMHO that certainly wouldn't rule out further sequels, spin-offs, feature films, etc. if they get the opportunity.

Based on the recent activities at Henson Co; ... the sale of NY offices, Muppets etc and the commitment to do more with Creature Shop and adult themes ... and my gut feeling .... I suspect that we may not have seen the last of Farscape.

I would love to know exactly what Brian was going to announce at the press conference that was cancelled in November. The closer we get to the completion date of filming for the mini (according to reports that date is March 15) I wonder about this more an more. Whatever the reason for the cancellation it was obviously not enough to halt production so it couldn't have been a disaster like having their financing fall through or their distrubutor walking away. But try as I might I cannot think of any reason for him to cancel and not to have rescheduled by now. Maybe he is just waiting for the filming to be done. Maybe he is waiting for skiffy's rerun rights to expire (if, as we have been told that really is going to happen in May). Maybe he is waiting until the deal with Disney is completed. Maybe it's something else entirely. Whatever the reason, it is driving me nuts, especially with the dribs and drabs of information on the mini we are getting from Oz.
Maybe I just need to start drinking decaf.

I like the way you think. Although, I don't necessarily want to see those three words "TO BE CONTINUED". But I would love to see Farscape up on the big screen. :D

If they did do a big screen feature, I would be really upset if they had a different cast, Ben, Claudia, Anthony and the rest really make the show. I hate to say it too, but this is the combo that works for me, even if there was a spin off it does not mean it would be the same hit FS is. Plus, how much longer do the cast want to continue these roles? The are actors and I can understand if they want to move on to other things. If I had to make a guess, I think this will end the series, but then again, they have had a long break so maybe they'd be willing to do two more years :) got no where with that :)

It doesn't make sense to me that they would dust off all the old equipment, completely rebuild the sets, get everyone together, then shoot four episodes' worth and tear it all down again for good. I think they're probably hoping to make more seasons and even a movie, but right now they need a network distributor and are waiting to see who will take the mini and how well it will do.

Since they have not yet made an announcement about the show, I can't help but wonder if they are planning to release the mini straight to DVD?

I think they're waiting with the announcement till May, when SciFi Channel's rights to Farscape expire :)

I noticed that on the IMDB that it says for Gigi Edgely that she is currently filming Blackjack Sweet Science in 2004 and the Farscape mini. So I guess she's doing something else too.

I would love to say neither season 5 nor the mini would be the end. If there was a planned story arc that was to last say 6 seasons that is what I would rather have. But just a mini is plnty more thaan nothing.
uhhhh all the actors can do a season 5 or a feature film because well i know for a fact that Jennifer Garner was filming Alias at the same time she was doing Daredevil and Elektra
