I haven't made my mind up yet, but Jothee and Furlow makes me gag, but so does a just about everyone else on the list. I'll have to think about it...

Aeryn and Crais are NOT an ugly couple, in my opinion. Certainly an eww factor is there, but that is based upon the fact that Crais is unworthy of Aeryn. Now say, Scorpy's nanny and one of those blue monkey aliens from IYYY, now that would make for an ugly couple...

Aeryn and Crais don't make an ugly couple. They just don't have any chemistry. Here's something to ponder - if Aeryn and Crais took the "taste test" would they be compatible? IMO, no.

Crais definitely has a bit of a thing for Aeryn. Aeryn's just not interested.

I think that line is actually to one of the natives in Look at the Princess. There is some chemistry between Aeryn and Crais at a certain point in the series which makes it possible that they could get together, but if you haven't seen all of seasons two and three I won't spoil it for you.

There wasn't much a spark, imo. I'm not saying that nothing was there at all, just that it was nowhere near the level of J&A in even S1. Any interest was obviously one sided (Crais') it wasn't reciprocated by Aeryn.

I know that, and have seen the entire series... I was just drawing a parallel of sorts, that all the interest is one-sided and that side is not Aeryn's. Plus it's a nice quote. Obviously it's not a precise fit, since Aeryn likes Crais, if perhaps only because she sees herself in him in their struggle to leave their Peacekeeper pasts behind them... but still. Crais is definitely interested in her.
