I need your help. Does anyone know where I can buy the series of "Sliders" on DVD? Did they even have enough episodes to make it worth while? I know a lot of you don't give a rats a** about Sci-Fi, I just would like to know if I could find the series on DVD. Don't hate me! Thanks.

why would we hate you?

From everything I have seen... it isn't out on DVD or tape yet. There were 6 seasons... I think.

There's a site called http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/ where you can go and vote for shows you want on DVD.

I'm not sure how useful it is for actually getting the corporations to listen to fan demands, but they do have a lot of great intel on shows getting the DVD treatment and when they'll be getting released...

Grinner, I watch Sci-Fi in the morning to see Sliders, and I know there is a lot of dislike for Sci-fi, and I'm one fo the crowd after what they did to Farscape! I like the "wormhole" technology with sliders...reminds me of Farscape. Thanks.

Btw, what's the name of the hole they all used to jump through? Was it a quantum singularity, or some other spiffy sounding scientific name?

It just seems that there are lots of holes out there, you know blackholes, wormholes and tears in the time continuims. I dunno, but I remember reading somewhere that every galaxy has its own blackhole in its center!

Hi!

Oh I love sliders, that was like my favorite show, I'm lucky I tapped most all of the episodes up till season 3? 4? or whenever the last season with Quinn and Colin was. But I've gotta say my favorite characters were Wade and the Professor, but they both got axed :(

Oh the memories!

**SPOILERS, IN THE FORM OF A QUESTION I FIGURED NOW WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO ASK**

I'm probably remembering wrong... but didn't Sliders end at Season Four's Finale with the cliffhangar of Rembrandt jumping through the vortex to go back to our Earth and stop the Kromaggs... and like... Maggie, the "Quinn ripoff" and the new girl were stuck on a world that adored them?

Good question, but I don't have an answer, I didn't get to see but a few of sliders when it was first shown, I had my A/C business going. Now I'm disabled, I've got all kinds of time, and that's why I'm looking for Sliders on DVD. Sure someone here knows the answer your looking for!

Yes, that was the series finale. Mr. Brown went through alone because it was his *home* world (and only one person could go for some reason), where as Maggie's world was destroyed (and I always thought she was shirking responsibilities on her thirst for revenge and going 'sliding' with them rather then staying with the rest of her people on their second home and help out... but thats just me....) And psuedo Quinn didn't really have anywhere else to go. Same with 'new girl'. (Funny, I didn't even remember her until your post....)
I loved Sliders but the show was not the same without the Professor and Wade, and then when Quinn left.. forget it....

There seems to be some news regarding Quantum Leap on DVD, but it also seems to be an old saga that's been long played out for some, still it does seem there is something in the pipeline that will be made available sometime around June.

We were Sliders watchers, too. Unfortunately, this show got the full "Network" treatment. First, we didn't know when it was gonna be on cuz they kept changing day/time, then they changed around the cast. I guess some called the last 2 girls on the show "breeders" because they were only there for looks. By then, we had given up on it.

I did watch the last two seasons a few years ago when I got our first TiVo because I wanted to see what was going on. By then it was on SciFi (and there was actually a lot of SciFi ON SciFi); but those days are gone too.

Yeah, and we walked 3 miles uphill (both ways) in the snow to get to the TV.

I loved sliders too...until season five when they killed off Colin and Quinn (well, okay they didn't exactly kill him off...but they did get rid of the original Quinn)...But we can't blame Sci-Fi for that because Sliders wasn't originally a Sci-fi show (can't member which chanel it was on-think it was Fox-but it wasn't sci-fi). And if i recall correctly the actors decided to end the show, not the network (though i think some of the decision to end it had to do with ratings, cause the fifth (and last) season sucked).

Though, that's just what i've heard and could be totally wrong...not to mention it's 12:30 in the morning and i'm really not sure if anything i'm typing even makes sense. I'm only here cause I can't sleep.

And, yes I still tune in to see reruns of Sliders on Sci-Fi....it's such a great show...
