when do scifi rights to show farscape end?

i was sure that on docu dot dvd is was this year?

can anyone remember?

The short answer: We don't know.

That information has never been released to the public at large. We've heard May 2004 (on the Docudot DVD**); we've heard September 2004 (2 yrs after cancellation); and we've heard March 2005 (2 yrs after last new episode aired.

**Audience member asked David Kemper; he said May 2004?, then referred the "asker" to Henson's publicist (who was also attending the Saturn Awards) for verification.

FYI, I e-mailed Henson earlier this year and asked for the date. I got a nice response from their legal department which explained that it was the The Jim Henson Company's policy not to share details of its contracts, and therefore they couldn't give me the information I requested.

Rockne O'Bannon -- at 2BeContinued -- also said the rights expire in May 2004, so I'm leaning toward that date. Of course, I don't know if that means BY May, which would mean they have no rights after April. Or if it means IN May, which would mean they have rights until the end of May. I guess we'll find out when Scifi posts the new schedules for May and June.

Ha! That's just a nice way of them saying they know you're a Scaper and they don't want the info leaked to the boards. :D Ah, well, you had to try! :cool:
