Do you watch the theme every time?

I find that I automatically fast forward past the opening theme when watching the DVD's. Since I had'nt seen any eps on TV since S1, I did'nt realize till a couple of weeks ago that the theme changes with each season.

I watch it ALMOST every time (I occasionally skip it, or the last part of it, but that wasn't a choice so I picked #1). I really like hearing it.

Sometimes. I almost always watch ones for season 3 eps. I very occasionally miss the theme for the season 4 eps (I don't like the new clips and monologue as much). And half the time I skip the season 1 & 2 ones.

Pretty much. I occasionally fast forward, but I like listening to the Crichton's intro and seeing who is listed as starring vs a guest star.

I always watch it. I enjoy the theme enough I have it downloaded on my computer. I like Season 1 and 4 intros best. The highpoint on Season 4's is John's line" Look upward and share the wonders I see"

I always watch it. Mainly because of the dreamer sense to the stuff that Crichton says, and the tone of his voice as he speaks it. Ben is really good at voiceovers.
I also really like the whole montage of images and scenes that are put together for the theme each season. It not only opens the show, but it also shows us how the characters have been developing over the course of the show.

Depends, sometimes I will sit through it and grin really big, or if its a tape/DVD I'll fast foward. Mostly I'll watch it, but sometimes I have no patience. I do love the voice overs though.

I more or less watch the theme everytime. Currently I like the season 4 theme the best, especially the "look upward" bit with Chiana. The theme always makes me smile though, whatever season it is.

Yeah, it makes me smile too. I always watch it... it feels me with... little... yellow... bolts of light... that I like to call happiness.

I'm so glad someone thought to do a poll on this!! One of those 'Scapers continue to make my day' things, IMO.

I always watch the credits. By the looks of it, I'm the only one, but hey, here goes. To begin with, I grin like an idiot. I'll be grinning like an even bigger idiot on Tuesday night, we are FINALLY getting We're So Screwed Part 2 over here!!!!! If I'm on my own, with the volume turned up really loud, I take the time to run around the house, dancing and yelling. S1 and S2 are best for the yelling, because the chanting bit towards the end of the credits is lots of fun to join in with. I advise everybody to try it some time.

S3 and S4 are good to listen to, the commentary is fab (as is Ben's voice - couldn't agree with you more, Keeper!!). So mainly I grin like an idiot in S3 and S4 eps, because I know just how great the next 42 minutes are going to be.

PS: Keeper, I've been wondering for AGES where your avatar pics were from, but last night I saw the preview for JD's new film - OMG it looks SO GOOD!!!

I voted that I skip to the opening scene (ever since season 1). But this only applies when I watch a block of Farscapes (which is the norm). If I'm watching one then I'll watch the opening credits.

always on eps season 3 and 4, did not care for the too dramatic title tune in 1 and 2 think it put alot of people off watching the show, friends used to mock the music. was glad when they changed it, now watching from season 3 and 4 have to watch the titles as they give me a chill.

My kids love the opening credits and the theme. They sing along.*grin* True Scapers, them!*grin* Even the nanny sings along. He likes it too, we never fast forward the DVD.

I rarely watch the opening credits, except when I'm changing seasons, I like to see the changes and occasionally when I'm nostalgic for the scene's. Most of the time, though, I just want to get to the ep!

I always watch the introduction. I love the music... That is what got me hooked on the show actually. It got me interested and then I couldn't get enough of it!

I have to agree, the music made me curious and paid attention to what it belonged to, then saw images and the rest is history, but I never forget, it was the music that lured me in....

It draws me in , it's become the first step . I most likely get in to it because I don't get to see it very often, my tapes arn't in any shape some not even labeled so when I do get to watch I want every second and I love the theme song it's like a beatle tune to me , I could hear it anywhere and at once be hit with the sensation to folow that music.

Depends. I like to (though I am fonder of S3,4 theme than of 1 or 2). If I have enough time, then I'll watch the theme, every time, even if I am watching a block of episodes. I like to savor a whole Farscape experience.

However, if I have no time (i.e. watching it late at night and know I have to go to bed very soon), then I'll forward.

When rewatching a favorite ep that I've had on DVD for a while... I tend to skip the intro.

Whenever I get a new DVD I try to watch the intro at least once.

For those of you in the "FS420 Club": I watch it if I'm packin', rollin' or smokin.

So far (newbie that I am) I've watched the theme every time. When I watch DVDs, I listen with headphones, so it's interesting to both see and hear the changes between S1 and S2...I gather there are more theme changes to come as I go along! And it's funny -- when I watched my first episode, I thought the theme was bizarre. Now I love it :love2:

Yeah, I always watch opening themes. They settle me into a show. If the opening theme has words I sing them. This tends to annoy people during Enterprise, but it must be done. I do not attempt to sing along to Farscape, sometimes I'll say the Voiceover with John, but not always.

It depends. If I'm watching episodes from seasons 1 and 2, I usually watch it a few times and then skip it from then on. I love the season 3 and 4 themes so if it is an episode from those seasons, I almost always watch the opening credits. Don't get me wrong. I don't hate the season 1 and 2 themes, I just LOVE the other themes so I *have* to watch those. :D

I've got the soundtrack from Crescendo Records, and I was wondering if they (or someone else) is planning to release a soundtrack for Season 3 & 4, and will this new CD feature the "Unity" mix featured on Scapers' Sanctuary! :cool:

I was quite disappointed with the Season 1&2 soundtrack. Although things seem to have improved for Season 3. I often watch Scratch & Sniff just for the soundtrack :)
