I was under the impression that the title of this new film was 'Batman Begins', and like those Frank Miller stories, it should be set in the 'days of yore' - sometime between the '30's and the '60's.
This vehicle is clearly a product of the naughts (the '00's). So are we about to see another Batman frell-up, as in 'American Psycho' become 'Caped Psycho'?
Just asking...

Is it me or does this look just like trubadors new wheels?

At least this Batmobile looks somewhat practical, unlike the Batmobiles in previous movies. It reminds me of the Batmobile from The Dark Knight Returns , kind of a cross between a Dakar Rally car and a tank.
I give it my stamp of approval. :D

I think it looks kinda neat, but it is definitely nothing like what I think of when I think "batmobile."

Well it is modeled after the one from Dark Knight Returns. And yes this is Batman: Begins, but a time displacement is no large reason for a bad movie. Some really good movies have been set after their original timeframe.
But yes this will definatly strike fear in the hearts of the wicked.

Looks like Wayne has invested in the Bat-tank.

I for one, can't wait for this movie. Bad title an all :g2f:
It has an amazing cast, and hopefully it will erase any memories of the last bat-movie.

just cause they arent doing a period piece movie of batman doesnt mean its crap. if we go by the timeline in the comics, then bruce is currently about 90 to 100 years old, and they shouldnt be having him protrayed as a 30- 40ish billionare playboy in the comics but as he looks in batman beyond.
frank miller stories are kinda set in a side universe. sin city doesnt feel like modern day, and could probly pass for 20's or 30's. its just his style of look, story. i love miller.
whats wrong with updating a comic so it fits in with modern day, the comic book companies do it all the time, hence the reason batman is still bruce wayne after all these years when he should be older then alfred. spider man is a prime example of how well a update of a character can be, same with the xmen.
its not about staying true to the exact wording of the writer of the comic book, but to the spirit of the character. with goyer writing, nolan directing, the cast that is involved and the review i read of the script, it should be pretty freaking amazing.

I read a script review the other day, and it makes me sad having to wait another year for this thing.

I'm not really sure that I like that new batmobile. It kind of goes against the original designs, and swerves of in a whole other direction. Monster truck wheels? come on...
In all the pevious batman movie the batmobile has been improved and spruced up and all but the design of it still had the inital orginal concept.
Thats just what I think anyway.

It's no burtonmobile but it looks a HELL of a lot better than anything Joel "abiguously gay batman movies" did in his movies I mean even the '66 Batmobile looks better than that but then that one always looked good

Are you hinting at tight black leather pants, and a black t-shirt?
