we know there's a miniseries...it's being reported..i think it is.

Of course we all know about the mini. I was wondering about it being shown on Skiffy.

I'm gonna say yes it is... not sure I feel about it yet though... Glad it will be airing of course... :)
Edit: so we have until the fourth quarter to get as many new eyeballs as we can.

I can't help feeling a little suspicious, but I suppose SciFi Wire does have the inside scoop on what Skiffy is planning! I had expected more fanfare (no pun intended) because of all the prior secrecy.

Does this mean that they will start showing Farscape reruns in better time slots to whet the audience's apetite for the mini? Hope so. It's hard to get new viewers when you tell them they have to tape the eps because they are on during the night.

I feel a little nauseous, so I think it's real.

(The nausea is as much for the anticipation of a real, live, official announcement as for the fact that they're talking about it being on Skiffy.)

I'm sure it is real. It is also probably for the best. Any new fans we attract to the show, will be watching it on SFC or through DVDs. Hopefully, SFC will air the eps leading up to the mini so that potential fans will know what is happening.

But here are some questions to ponder.

Minis on SFC have done well for their ratings. But those have been stand alone movies. Will Farscape do as well with its history and story arc.

Will Farscape get the same type of promotion from Sci-Fi Channel as BSG, Dune and other SFC minis.

Will it be billed as a mini, or a wrap up of a cancelled tv show.

If ratings are awesome, what do you think will happen next. More minis, a renewed series or a leap to the big screen.

skiffy didn't bring it back however, skiffy had/has nothing to do with anything relating to Farscape's success. I wish this was happening on a diferent channel.

What's wrong with ESPN, Lifetime, HGTV and such?

In case you're wondering, they show as much science fictions as skiffy does, so why not.
