I don't remember seeing this survey posted before so I thought I'd put a link.
According to this I am:
Aragorn
Putting your appointed path ahead of any inner conflicts, you make your own rules for the benefit of all.
If by my life or death I can protect you, I will.
Take the survey yourself at:

Whoo hoo! I'm Elrond!
A stern yet benevolent organizer who often knows best, your wits are keenly fixed on aiding efforts you deem worthy.
Now at this last we must take a hard road, a road unforseen. There lies our hope, if hope it be. To walk into peril to Mordor.

Galadriel
Possessing a rare combination of wisdom and humility, while serenely dominating your environment you selflessly use your powers to care for others.
Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.
If they say so.

I am...
Gandalf
A wandering spirit caring for a multitude of just concerns, you are an instrumental power in many of the causes around you.
And so am I, very dangerous: more dangerous than anything you will ever meet, unless you are brought alive before the seat of the Dark Lord.

I'm Princess Leia :)
I don't remember what it said... something about hating injustice.

likewise, another Galadriel. Looks like most that take the test are as well, so we're in good company.

I got some character that I've never heard of. The only character on the list that I have never heard of.
Raistlin Majere
An intensely private individual that chooses actions with care, you strive to further your own skills and powers.
"This happens because I choose it to happen!"

Raistlin Majere was a mage in The Dragonlance Chronicles who was obsessed with increasing his magical power even to the detriment of his own health and the welfare of those around him. He's possibly the most well-known character from that series of books.

Sounds like me but my magical powers show no signs of improving!!

Kosh
A reclusive seer shrouded in riddles, you reveal very little and only what is deemed congruent with your plans.
Understanding is a three edged sword. Your side, their side, and the truth.
apparently I'm from B5. interesting...

It just figured that the only character I didn't recognize was the one I got. Could have been worse. I could have gotten The Shadows. :)

I'm Yoda :jedi:
A venerated sage with vast power and knowledge, you gently guide forces around you while serving as a champion of the light.
Judge me by my size, do you? And well you should not - for my ally is the Force. And a powerful ally it is. Life greets it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us, and binds us. Luminescent beings are we, not this crude matter! You must feel the Force around you, everywhere.

I had a couple of questions that I could have gone either way on (depending on circumstances). When I did the survey a second time with the different answers for those, I ended up Yoda instead of Aragorn.
Looks like Galadriel is the most popular personality type among people likely to take the survey (followed closely by Aragorn).

Luke Skywalker (the Jedi badass, not the whiny farmboy)
Boldly striving to overcome the darkness both in this world and within yourself, you are righteously devoted to forging your own destiny.
It's your choice, but I warn you not to underestimate my powers.
(that and I get to nail Mara Jade)

Aragorn here. Heck with BEING Aragorn, I wanna FRELL Aragorn!!! :D
Ironically, by changing a few answers that I was hesitant on, I got James T (for Tomcat) Kirk.
"An impassioned commander with more respect for individuals than for authority, you have a no-holds-barred approach to life and its obstacles."
I don't believe in the no-win scenario.

I'm Elrond. What is it with me and Hugo Weaving? First I'm Agent Smith in the Matrix test, and now this. :g2f:
AnnieBW, don't know if you checked your PMs in a while, but I sent you one. :)

Marcus Cole
An honest and chivalrous adventurer that pursues just causes, you would sacrifice much to help others.
I am a Ranger. We walk in the dark places no others will enter. We stand on the bridge and no-one may pass. We live for the One, we die for the One.
Marcus is a character in the Babylon 5 universe. You can read his profile at the Worlds of JMS.

:rollin: has anyone gone to the stats of what other people got? at the bottom of the page it says:
However, there's no need to be snarky about the lack of options. I'm aware there's other characters out there, but just couldn't fit them all into the results. So I'll preemptively give my apologies to Aeryn Sun, Milamber, Allanon, Roland, Merlin, the Sleestaks, Haplo, Sparhawk, the Cybermen, Aslan, Willy Wonka, Gabrielle, Kadiya, Zaphod, Polgara, Kull, Goldry Bluszco, Kurgan, Flagg, Sparrowhawk, Jayne Cobb, Feyd-Rautha, the Steel Collar Man, and all of their companions.
that person is my hero. :D
is anyone else finding the multitude of different results you can get compared to the fact that there are two or three answers for each question a little strange? or is that just me?

An enigmatic recluse with a mysterious past and even stranger loyalties, you are an intensely serious presence.
I don't expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through human veins, bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses...
Snape is a character in the Harry Potter series.
