The Sikozu Look-alike contest

I got some crazy notion to hold a Sikozu look-alike contest.

The contest works like this:
1. Contestants must be willing and know that they are being entered.

2. Contestants must be a member of Savefarscape, or a realtive close enough that they have been scaped by osmosis. No paying off the redhead who lives across the street.

3. Contestant must feature the Sputnik hairdo, since this is what got me started.

4. Real pictures...no faking it with photos of the Real Sikozu. By the way, if Ralee Hill lurks here, no offense, but you are not eligible. That would not be fair to everyone else. You will have to wait for the next one.... :). Don't feel bad, Ralee, I can't enter either (and I have long enough hair to actually do the 'do').

5. I will accept entries until the end of May. After that, assuming there is more than one entry, contestants will be judged by the members of www.savefarscape.com. Maybe I will set up a poll in a separate thread. Again...please be sportsmanlike, and do not not register a zillion names to alter the outcome. Its just a silly contest more for fun than a prize but...

6. The winner will get some scape-age. I will put up a Farscape DVD (or VHS is you are stuck in the 20th century and I can find it in that form). Whatever episode (no, its not a boxed set-- nice try though) you want. I will buy and have shipped to you or to www.savefarscape.com if you would prefer it go to the cause. If anyone wants to add to the prize list, they can post here as well.

7. Anyone can enter,and I promise to laugh very hard if a guy manages to win this thing.

8. Voting for the winner will begin 1 June and end 16 June.

9. Anything else, ask, but that should cover it. No purchase neccessary. Void where prohibited (are Sikozu look-alike contests prohibited by law anywhere?)

If we're using 'other' famous people as look alikes, Zoe Bertram has a similar air about her :)

I think there are services, say in photocopy shops that can scan stuff to a floppy for a modest fee. You could look around for one of those in your area; there's one down the street from me.

I admit though with the name that shows on the E-mails I've been getting I'm both intrigued and somewhat horrified at the prospect of viewing these pictures of yours.:D

Unfortunately, I am behind on my "I wanna build my own website" project, and I cannot seem to attach an image to this entry, so everyone is going to have to wait a day or two to see her. Then again, if no one enters over the course of the next week, it will not matter anyway and she will win by default.

She lives really far from here......Save my shipping costs and enter my contest, especially if you live in Texas!!! (Seriously, good luck Scorp-Sik....I just want more entries).

Less than 28 hours remain or Scop-Sik wins by default. On the bright side, it will allow me to further procrastinate ever posting the photo that actually WON the contest because everyone else didn't enter. :P

The website project continues to lag. Things would be much easier if I could just post a picture the way the message board says I can.

Then again, I suppose the admins would say "and we would let people upload files if some frellnik hadn't hacked our message board."

I WILL get around to it. I just can't bear the thought of making the whole thing using frontpage forms.

Scorp-Sik feels that taking the prize with no other contestants would be 'rotten,' and has asked that I extend the contest another month (I was more than willing to pay up. Fair is fair after all).

She also suggested I expand a little, saying there were lots of "aeryns" out there.

So: New rules: THe deadline is July 1 Central Time. You can dress to look as any FEMALE character from the our Favorite Moyans. That would include Aeryn, Zhaan, Chiana, or Jool in addtion to Sikozu. No Noranti copies please......She is not one of our favorites, and I need to use my eyes to read the posts so blindness would be bad (Sorry Ouroboros, I know how much you love her :P).

If you like, you can even dress up like Moya herself (this one is for the guys...I cannot picture any woman trying to win a contest by disguising herself as something called a leviathan, nor would I be one to tell her she was successful if she tried).

So, Keep on sewing, you have 29 more days.

I do not know what is up with my thread. I cannot see past page 4 still. I have made posts I cannot see either from here or work. Also, I saw a post by The Blad Roden as my only other entry.

In the absence of any votes, and further given that my only other entry has been shot through a wormhole and dropped out of cyberspace, I will be forced to call Scorp-Sik the winner. If anyone feels this is the least bit unfair, send me a PM (since my access to this thread is suspect). Really though, she has been more than fair about this whole thing.

I would happily be willing to do more, but most people did not seem terribly anxious to participate (and I cannot afford an 2 week vacation on a pleasant commerce planet nor can I promise a special appearance in the mini-series and if I could arrange a date with Ralee Hill, I would use it for me and not be on the internet right now.....)

So if a DVD and the spirit of competition is not enough, I will pay up before the bioloid resistance decides I am no longer worthy of their patience......

I would at no point rely on the conventional version of 'sensible' to be the primary guideline for anyone's judgement on this message board, myself included.

(Which is not to say that we aren't a bunch of intelligent, good natured, likeable, and most especially good-looking people :) )
