... I find it interesting, that after John's speech about how "worriors on earth did this to show that they weren't holding weapons", D'Argo doesn't put down his sword, he just takes it into the other hand... it's kind of rude actually, but I guess it's a compromise from his side, something about Luxans never putting down their weapon or something. I dunno. Just thought about it....

For example in the corporate world where the weapon of choice might be a briefcase instead of a sword its not considered rude to hold your briefcase in your left hand whilst shaking. Its just a gesture?

true... good point, Jellyfish. I suppose I over analysed it a little bit, can't help it, it comes with the territory... ;)

Actually it is respectful. He moved the weapon from his right hand(his dominant hand) to his left hand. He isn't as skillful using the weapon left-handed, so he is showing John respect. Basically he is saying I can't kill you using this left-handed, so you don't have to fear me(at least right now). My two pennies.

Yes although in D'Argos case he could kill you equally fast with either hand!

I keep thinking of the outtake scene where Crichton and D'argo kiss after the handshake :) "Warriors on Earth did this to show they weren't holding weapons". "I love you" "Come here big guy" :D

Me too. Hilarious! I think the crew had a lot of fun(plus an awesome amount of work) making the show.I wish Henson would release more outtakes. There is a scene with John and D'Argo in a car(one of John's Harvey moments I think) that supposedly Ben insisted all outtakes be destroyed. I bet that was incredibly funny.

Do you mean from Won't Get Fooled Again? That car scene was funny enough already. I can imagine any outtakes would have have everybody laughing so hard they were crying. I very nearly was.

Yeah, same here. I was just pondering how much funnier that could get. :rollin:

One CAN only imagine----the dialogue was probably X rated and then some.

Too bad we'll never see it.

But what if he had put down the sword? He would have had to either throw it down or kneel down and lay it in the gound. The throwing thing would have been impossible for a warrior like D'Argo and the kneeling thing would have looked very stupid, with John there, hand out, looking down on D'Argo.

The swich of hands was the best solution.

It was actually the scene in OOTM where Chiana in D'Argo's body comes onto Rygel in John's. I would pay big money to see those outtakes. :roflmao: :pop:
