I haven't seen anything about if Farscape came away with any Saturns this year.

Can someone clue me in?

Thanks.

Aw, how very un-compensation-able.

The silver lining, though, is that scapers clearly were not the voters that kept the cast and show winning during the series run. Otherwise, you can bet the bank that Fascape et all would be clutching all the frelling trophy's today and forever more.

Farscape fans could vote-but they had to subscribe to the academy first. I've been a subscriber for the last 3 years and voted Farscape everytime. I can only surmise that this year lots of Stargate fans signed up.. :dunno:

You mean Farscape didn't get anything? It's their oversight! It's a great show with good actors, storylines and special effects rolled into one.

Well, FS was only on TV for three months over a year ago. It doesn't surprise me that it wasn't on anyone's radar. I mean, this is the second set of Saturn Awards since the show ended. Most peopel probably thought they voted for it last year. Why should they vote for this this year when it wasn't even on. You know what I mean?

I think FS will have more of a chance with the mini next year because that's at least airing closer to the awards.

What I meant BA, was that scapers were not the 'only' voters that kept the show and Ben winning every year. My intent of the post was that if the 'only' voters were scapers, then Farscape would be taking all the trophys.

It's very possible that voters felt that with Farscape out of production and for all intents and purposes, off the air, that Farscape no longer could be or should be in the running. We all know that is balderdash.

It goes without saying that each of we scapers are furious that our show didn't take the trophy. Out of 'series' production or not, that best series trophy belongs to Farscape then, now and forevermore. The only thing that has me scratching my head is, how could SG1 garner involved fans? I've been watching SG1 since Scifi announced it's going to air our Mini. SG1 is watchable...I'll usually have it on in the background when I'm up and about, but it's nothing like Farscape's quality. I'm feeling most insulted that SG1 won.

I am most confident that the mini will rake in trophys.

Uhhhhhh, when were the Saturn's presented this year? :tonbricks

Seems they're being presented earlier and earlier each year. The year I went :drunk: (and FS had 5 nominations) the ceremony was in July... then last year, when I hung out in front with other Scapers, it was in June. When did they do it this year?

Not sure, but I think Farscape's not winning anything probably stems from the fact that it was being viewed as "out with the old" because of the cancellation until definitive news that the saga would continue were released. Just a stab in the long, cold night. I could be way off.
