It's a Strawberry Shortcake Weekend...

Just thought I'd share with you all. My oldest daughter is turning five on Sunday (yes, she was born on Mother's Day. Isn't that cool?) and she chose Strawberry Shortcake for her birthday theme.

So tonight I've made strawberry cupcakes with little strawberries on them and tomorrow morning I will be decorating the big Strawberry Shortcake Cake. Our house smells like strawberry shortcake too from the invitations and the hats and all the paraphernalia. :lol Tomorrow will be filled with red, pink and green...everything in our house! (Probably why hubby's leaving for poker night the second the party is over....)

Fingers crossed that it doesn't rain tomorrow....having ten five year olds in my house when all the activities are for OUTSIDE would be bad. Bad bad bad. (Pinatas don't work well in the rain and our house is SO small that someone would definitely get injured...)

So anyway, happy Strawberry Shortcake Weekend everyone! :D

Next weekend is the California Strawberry Festival!!! :joy::joy::joy:
(Strawberries are the biggest crop in Ventura County, with lemons coming a close 2nd.)

It's so cool that Strawberry Shortcake is "in" again... I had so much fun playing with my little sister and her smelly dolls. ;) And happiest of birthdays to the party girl! :D
