I recently read a story at News of the Weird that got me curious. About a year ago, in South Gate, CA, there was a city councilwoman (and vice mayor?) named Xochilt Ruvalcaba. From what I understand, there was a recall election to boot her out. In the middle of the meeting, she punched out another council member.
I would like to get more details on this if anyone know what I'm talking about. The reason I'm interested is that I went to school in NE for a couple of years with a girl named Xochilt Ruvalcaba, who was originally from CA. I'm not sure where they moved when they left here. The only difference is that the story I read said she was 30, and if it were the same girl, she would only be about 25. But how many people in the world are named Xochilt Ruvalcaba? It's not exactly Jane Doe! So, if anyone has can enlighten me on this story or can find a pic of her, that would be greatly appreciated!

That's weird. I've Googled a few names of people I went to school with. One kid is in Japan teaching English. In kindergarten he stuck my straw in his ear and in 6th grade, when asked what he sees himself as in 20 years, he wrote "A genius." :lol
Never met anyone named Xochilt Ruvalcaba though. What kind of name is that anyway? Klingon?
A bunch of people I went to school with died already. I think I just heard about another one over the weekend, but I don't know if it's her or not. They're dropping like flies; we're only 25!
After surviving the horror that was high school, I vowed to not go to my reunion, but at this rate I may be the only one left!
And the girl I liked in college was arrested for getting in a fight with her sister in a bar and kicking a cop. It was out of character, but I can see why it happened. It was the one year aniversary of her father's death, which was just a few days before Thanksgiving. I wonder what the conversation was that sparked it...just sad.

We've had several kids die from our school of 300, but not any from my class in particular that I know of. I should check out where some other people are from my class. I know one of the guys is a waiter by day and an amateur stripper by night. One girl works in a coffee shop, but moonlights as a bellydancer.

We had around 600. I think we were supposed to have a 5 year reunion last year or the year before or whenever five years after I graduated was. But I heard that the reason we didn't was because the class president and treasurer were in jail on drug charges. Not really sure if that's sad or funny, but I'm leaning towards funny.

I'd definitely go with funny. Our class treasurer is now an unwed mother with 4 felonies on her record. Our five year reunion was supposed to be last year, but I don't think anyone bothered to show up.

My high school should be having a 20 year reunion this year. I haven't heard anything about it, but I live out of state with an unlisted phone number, so I am not surprised. I've got too much going on this summer and also I didn't really like high school that much. I was a late bloomer and had much more fun in college. I keep up with the people who are important to me and don't care about seeing the others.
