Think I saw a Farscape tabletop rpg once. If I wasn't imagining it, has anyone played it and if so is it any good?

it is a D20 based gaming system... but can be modified using GURPS or other gaming Systems easily.

It is a decent start. There isn't any add-ons... which is why I said that if you were to run it with GURPS or any other generic RPG rules... you can expand it alot easier. Or you could transfer any other D20 based system and run it in that universe. I am not a big fan of the D20 rules... but as a basis for a larger universe... the RPG isn't that bad.

Cheers! Might have to give it a go with the ol' mekton 2 rules then. Don't much like the D20 system either.

I've never even been familiarized with the D20 rules system, but I probably would bother to learn them, for this.

Actually it might be worth thinking about using Farscape-1 as a sourcebook, creating a set of rules and posting them on the forums. Anyone interested.

Farscape-1 mention is good mention. I'm working on the Scorpius profile at the moment. That does sound intriguing.

How about I come up with a few ideas, then send them to you for a going over?

I'm interested. I should warn you that I would be a complete rookie. But I always wanted to try my hand at RPG.

I've also worked on the Farscape-1 project. Right now I'm compiling information on all the planets visited during seasons 3 and 4. I also did work on vehicles/ships and a bunch of the slang. That site's starting to look pretty good if I do say so myself :)

Excellent, I'll get started soon as I'm back from the pub tonight. Oh and VB roleplays fun and easy, just if it's your first time make sure you play with people you know. Less chance of being bullied by 'power players'. Oh and a few drinks help to get into character easier. And if you have any questions about roleplay in general give me a shout.

A co-worker loaned me the Farscape RPG book when I was researching for the website. Maybe I'll get my own copy.

edited to add: I find a few drinks makes any game more fun. ;)
