Just wondering if anyone out there has heard anything about where or maybe even when the mini will air in the UK?

Last I heard the BBC were trying to get it but it has all gone quiet on that front. Combined with the fact that the BBC has taken the Farscape link off it's Cult website makes me wonder what is going on. :irked:

Any news gratefully recieved.

Cheers

There are some 'facts' on the messageboards (http://www.bbc.co.uk/cgi-perl/h2/h2.cgi?state=view&board=cult.farscape):

The BBC might be interested, but Farscape hadn't reached as wide an audience as it could have on BBC2 so if they did purchase it they might show it on BBC3 (digital TV not everyone has) instead. BBC3 is not carried alot in other european countries, including mine, so I can't see it if they decide to do this.

And they said in an email on April 8th: "I can advise that we are currently awaiting tapes of the mini series, Farscape: Peacekeeper War, in order that these can be viewed and a decision taken on whether to purchase it. Hopefully, this decision will be made in the not too distant future, and you may with to keep an eye on the news section of the BBC's Cult website for any updates on this situation."

It said in Dreamwatch 117 a UK is yet to be finalized so maybe they are working on it. As we know that was probably written a few months ago before that magazine went to press. Maybe the British and other fans from Europe, OZ and everywhere else USA included could write to the Henson co. and ask them about it. If alot of fans wrote maybe it would help. I know they want alot of people to watch the mini because how many watch the mini depends on if we get more Farscape. That basically what I understood from reading a recent article about the mini.

I am sure that Brian Henson said on the live chat that it would be here in december....

That's good because I want all of the Scapers to get to see it. I hope the other Scapers in other countries get to see it too at the same time.

As for Europe... answering the question from the Italian fan Brian Henson said that Hallmark is their European distributor. I hope to see FS mini on Hallmark Channel in Poland :)

I shall be -

a - downloading it as soon as it comes on in America

b - watching it on whatever channel it is shown on in the UK

c - buying the obligatory DVDs

That's also my plan. Except b. is only limited to BBC1 and BBC2.

Dito - this is my plan as well, since the german Sci-Fi channel will most likely air the mini in 2005, and I can't wait that long.

I really feel for you guys over there. Why do they release the DVDs for the show earlier over there but then they want to broadcast the mini later for you guys there then they do for us here in the states. I don't get it. :bonk:

They are all frelled!!! Since everything that is a big hitr in america takes time to come onto UK TVs, even on sky digital, is UKs Skiffy the same as the US, or do we get different programming all together?

Sci fi UK are a different company? to skiffy and the programming is quite different from what I have read around the board here.

As i'm living in Belgium and we have cable tv, we watch BBC 1&2.
So I guess i'll have to waite 'till those guys decide to aire the mini's.
I could allways download it from the net if the series are available.
So how about keeping an eye on the net and telling the fans when it's on.
I'm sure I will
