Missing the staff.

The stuff on Chiana's neck is definitely a tattoo or marking of some sort. If you look closely you'll see that it's in every shot with her in it. Look at the one of her strangling the Scarran and you'll see the blue line of it. Plus, it's shaped like the FarScape lettering, so I'm guessing it means something. You can see black pupils when she threatens Rygel, so maybe she gets her sight back? The longer shots and the one where she's wrestling the Scarran look more 'blind'.

I'm ambivalent about Sikozu's new look. It works when she's upside down and standing still, but what will all that artfully messy hair do when she moves? ;) Notice that she's got what looks like tattoos on her neck too. Look at the pic with her and Scorpy and the director. They don't look like her normal scale markings.

The picky makeup artist in me spotted naked human hands on what looks to be a Scarran. It's the one behind the Emperor, just below his armpit. Not uncommon in a long shot or if the character only anticipated being seen from the waist up with no movement...or if this was posed for a still. Those extensive hand features are a pain for actors to run around in. Looks a little like Ahkna though. Sikozu was behind Ahkna when she was threatening Rygel. Is that on Moya? Have they rejoined the crew? The Emperor's breasts are less aggressively huge, although they are still on parade. The Scarran with the biggest breasts wins?

Is Aeryn tied up where you can see her in the background in the pic where Crichton looks anxious and Sikozu is upsidedown? Her hands are above her head and her belly is exposed. And why is Scorpius so calm in that one?

Yah, I like the new hat better. Sikky is all punked out, which I think is odd. I wonder if they are going to have real actors play the Quajans now, or still stay with just puppets. It would make sense to get actors in make up, but then they would have to CG the face spilt. And it is a new look for Luxons.

The Einstien Harvey is hilarious, and Braca is trying out his new "I'm a bad-ass" look, which is quite amusing.

But at this point, while I agree we must be absolutely respectful of story spoilers, a picture of Sikozu is very out of context, and it's not desperately shocking that she's back. Cast lists have been up for months, Brian and others have made comments about the cast coming back. I'd say with one exception, other casting spoilers are going to be hard for anyone to avoid and nearly impossible to enforce.

Looks like we're entering minefield territory. Guess, we'll just have to take each issue as it comes up.

OK, I've had a night to sleep on it, and I now am ok with the changes to Sikozu's hair. It's grown on me overnight (heh heh) you might say. And I looooove that they brought back Aeryn's hair from earlier seasons. I did not like the S4 look. And I'm very glad that Stark shaved his head again.

So, now we've got an article coming up in TV Guide next week and all these piccies on Kansas and Farscapeworld. And we've got that mysterious "announcement" we've been waiting on from the staff here. Does that mean that we can anticipate seeing promos starting to show up on skiffy? Does that mean I have to start watching the channel again just in hopes of seeing it?

Nah, O and LAS. It's Gigi. She's just looking fierce and angry, and they've changed her makeup a bit. That darkish blue and grey around her eyes is even darker and more pronounced in the shots here than they were, even in S4.

They all look a bit different. Harder. More sharp edges.

Sikozu... hmm... not sure... I like the open-head-people, though they did crystallize (or something) John & Aeryn. Lot of water in Moya for some reason... They don't look scary at all...

As for Sikozu, the new look is quite radical, but seems appropiate in her new role as a PK. The Moyans have always been a little raggle taggle looking, but the PK's were always neat and particular in their appearance. So it makes sense that her apperance would change.

Chiana looks more like the Nebari woman in ACN (I've forgotten her name right now). Didn't she have some sort of markings on her face and neck? Chiana looks more renegade than ever.

I didn't like Aeryn's hairstyle in S4, so I'm glad to see it changed. I like how they've appraoched the prgnancy. It's obvious she's pregnant, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on her "warrior" status.

And isn't that D'Argo on the far right in the pic of the Luxans. Looks like him to me.

In my opinion the pic some were talking about in earlier posts about that ? tatoo/marking on Chiana's neck I wonder if that is a unity tatoo from D'argo and if her and D'argo got back together. Weren't they starting to get cozy again in the last episode and even slept together again in Bad timing or I am getting mixed up with the wrong episode?

That's true some of the time, shots such as the one with the Scarrans may have been taken during filming, and may be from a take that wont be used. You'd be surprised how easily people can forget something on set, with so much happening at one time.

I guess we will find out later this year. Which is too long from now.

Also I think someone should send links to other media websites to promote the show like (groan) AICN. Take some of the buzzz away from Whedon and Riddick.

OK, here're my observations of the pics which may or may not have spoilers.







1. No Ring. Where is the ring? I don't see it on Aeryn's hand anywhere except MAYBE in the promo pic with john behind her with their guns drawn. unless it's an oversight like the missing glove for these staged promo pics, I wonder where that might come into the plot.

2. Those 3 luxans in the pic definately are not dargo. He's got an all red outfit, but studded like theirs are. I agree those look like updated versions of the qualta blade.

3. The Quajon (spelling) in the pic (head splitting open) is wearing a robe. Look in the pic from bb.uk of john doing the thinking man, there's two people in robes behind him but fuzzy.

4. Where is Dargo's qualta blade. I don't remember seeing it in...other pics, but in the one here, he's got two guns (one for each of ya, hehehe) but one looks like a PK rifle, the other like a rifle similar to the pistol that's being held to crichton's neck.

5. Aeryn doesn't look pregnant in the pic with the fishtank behind her. Maybe in the one with her gun drawn and her head cocked to one side with crichton behind her on Moya. Is it possible she gives birth during the mini, or does the mini span such a large timespan, that we go from the comparable human/sebacean 1st trimester to 3rd trimester. Who knows, maybe the combination only needs a month or two for gestation. Having PK soldiers out of action for shorter times etc etc.

6. Chiana's rifle looks like a PK gun with the front of the rifle from the lost in space movie grafted onto the front. Sikozu's holding an identical rifle with the junk pile to her back pic.

Actually the best would be to make sure no one knows that you are even in the resitance. I learned this from The moon is a harsh mistress.

Eat person goes out and recurits 3 people but does not give them any info on the other people. So it could end up with a person in the fourtith teir think that the person who recruted them is the leader while each of the people he recruits thinks that he is the leader, while not knowing there is anyone else in thier tier.

Some pics of a very pregnant Aeryn, one of what appears to be Aeryn in labor and one of a decidedly non-pregnant Aeryn. That would suggest that she gives birth to the baby during the course of the mini-series, or at least that something happened to it.

Looks like Aeryn is suffering the Scarran heat ray in one of the photos. In the first set from Farscapeworld there is a photo with the Scarran emperor in red, some other Scarrans in black and then Crichton on the right and Aeryn on the left. It looks like the emperor has his arm extended doing the heat ray, with Aeryn cringing and with her hand clenched, but the CG hasn't been added in yet to show the heat ray. The absence of the heat ray CGI would be expected if the pic is a production still.

BTW, I think that is Ahkna behind the emperor with the bare hand.

Lots of Luxans! I think they are probably on the side of the Moyans, given the PK (or Grayza's) plans to sell them out to the Scarrans. I don't think any of the three are D'Argo. The tattoos are wrong for D'Argo.

Cool and I noticed some weirdness here.

First off this doesn't look quite like Gigi to me, though that could just be the angle. What's this on her neck though.

It still looks like Chiana to me, but her eyes definitely look different in her photos. Maybe it is something to do with the blindness. Or new make up? She seems comfortable with a long range weapon well enough in one of the pictures, which would suggest her sight is good though.

Yup, it's Braca. Or at least, John will be picking the semi pseudo renegade PKs of Scorpius. It's really unclear to me whether he regained his status and prestiege that he'd been earning back in Peacekeeper Space or not at the end of the fourth season. Braca sided with him, but is First/High Command on his side now or are they separatists?
