AgentSun
06-05-2004, 06:31 PM
actually, no. i've watched that about 10 times in a row and i think one can only get so much of xander's first season quippiness before one goes "blaaaaaah!"

Hah. I accomplished my goal of seeing your picture without ever asking to see it on AIM. I can go to bed happy tonight because I accomplished a long-term goal. I mean, um. Nicely done. :O

AgentSun
06-05-2004, 11:05 PM
hahaha i'll fifth that!!!

well, no call tonight, but hopefully tomorrow. i will not break down and call him instead. that would scream "clingy" to me, though it might not to him. he understands that it's in my nature to be concerned about him. he's too precious for me to ever stop thinking about. he's a wonderful boy.

i'm a smitten kitten, can't you tell? and in other news, check out the name under my screen name, huh? what do you think about that?!

AgentSun
06-06-2004, 11:31 AM
well the problem is, he's going through things with family and i don't want to add any stress. the only reason i'd call is to ask him how his grandma was doing and how he was. i wouldn't expect an hour long conversation. at the same time, i think i should let him call me when he is ready or has the time?

sounds like the perfect reason to call.
do you need an hour long conversation? wouldn't 3 minutes do?
how do you know he's not stressed by your silence?

at the same time, i think i should let him call me when he is ready or has the time?

how is he going to know that, if you don't tell him?

AgentSun - I'm 34 years old and single, and I use to sound just like you.

I recently met some one who I feel allot for, and she is having a rough time also, but I refused to repeat the same mistakes, I don't call her all the time but just enough to let her know I'm there if she needs me,
we went out for dinner for the first time a few days ago.

I know it's scary as Hell, and It's hard to know what to do, but doing nothing is just as bad or even worse, and in order to keep the dance going, you will have to move sometime.
just let him know you care. nothing more nothing less.

it took me a very long and painful time to learn that.

when we talked on friday, i asked him to call me and keep me updated and he said that when he got time he'd call and update me, so because he said that i don't want to call him instead and catch him at a bad moment and maybe cause more stress.

so i called him just now and he's at home, watching the lakers game. he's starting work on tuesday, which will add some stress because he has to wake up really early. i miss him so much and everytime i hear his voice i start tearing up. things are really busy around there so he still isn't sure when he'll be able to start calling me on a frequent basis again. i told him that i'd call him if i felt like i needed to check up on him and he said he appreciated it, so i guess all of your hunches were right on that.

AgentSun
06-06-2004, 08:10 PM
i was sooo relieved! but his grandma is still in the hospital and there's progress because the doctors are trying to narrow down what is wrong. when i asked him if it was okay for me to call if i ever wanted to hear his voice or see how he's doing, he said that it was okay. and i'm so glad that he said that because now i don't feel as if i'm being a burden or a bother and the boy was sooo quick to say "you're never a bother" and that made me feel nice.

faustus
06-06-2004, 08:18 PM
see how awsome was that

AgentSun
06-06-2004, 08:21 PM
but now i'm planning on when i'm going to call next. this is like strategy for me...i don't want to come off as posessive or pestering, so i want to wait a day or two, but i don't want to go too long without calling because that would drive me nuts...

so i think my answer is 42. or maybe tuesday.

Jeff O'Connor

weird, isn't it though cause uh you guys know how crazy i am. so does he. if he were a farscape fan he'd fit in just fine. actually, as soon as i get that season 1 set i'm going to work on converting him. he didn't get into farscape when he watched it.

faustus
06-06-2004, 10:12 PM

AgentSun

and it makes me feel very good, and privileged, that I could nudge you to do what your heart knew all along.

the answer is 42, ;) , at least that is what she (my interest) said to me at dinner, :D .

:) you guys are awesome. really, you are. you're my second family. when i'm freaking out, i know i can come here and someone will always be more levelheaded than i am, or more experienced, or wiser!

i'm thinking of having a whole new thread where i ask you guys what to do about all my little problems and indecisions, like what i'm going to minor in in college!!

Well, that level-headed, experienced, and wiser part rules me out. But... thanks for the thought. :aok:

I've never been invovled with some one for more than a few weeks before making a classic mistake.

AgentSun

my strategy is to come off as caring, but not too caring, otherwise i come off as smothering. though i doubt anything i do short of cheating on him, will make him squeamish. the boy who proclaimed his love for me the third day into our relationship, feeling smothered? nah.

i think i'll call on tuesday, just to ask him if he noticed venus going across the sun. and to tell him happy anniversary, and tell him that i'll probably call again in the week, if it's okay. and i know if it wasn't a good time for me to call he'd say so.

your phone bill must be huge

AgentSun
06-06-2004, 11:13 PM
well, he usually calls later at night, because he gets free nights and weekends. to me, a phone bill isn't such a big deal because my mom spends a lot of money paying hers off because of business. so my phone bill for being on my cell phone to north carolina (talking to my friend) for an hour is a blip on her bill.

and he usually calls me because he has free nights and weekends. but i don't mind calling him.

faustus
06-06-2004, 11:21 PM

i am absolutely amazed at him sometimes. he's never met anyone as geeky as me. i'm a scifi fan, a computer nut, i read and breathe scifi, i'm a writer, reading is a hobby, i like to discuss politics, i like art, i make art, and he has finally found someone who is just as sarcastic as he is.

we have fake fights. when we're both frustrated at something, we end up taking leads and just have competitions to upstage one another and insult each other until we both get tired, start laughing, and forget what we were frustrated about. and then we laugh harder when we think of who might've been watching us.

when he visited me during our last break, my parents actually thought we were fighting.
