Early Morning Rant and Prayers

This morning I get up and think that it might actualy be a good day..have breakfast and even have time to check FMD. I go to get in my car and it's dead..nothing..and it is not the battery, infact no one seems to now what it is. Ok, I think I'll have it towed and get a rental car if I have to when the place opens. The bad thing is that my Dad has been getting worse..he can't breath much at all, so the Oncologist said that they will admit him in the hospital this morning. I have a really bad feeling about this. We all know he doesn't have much time left...maybe this is it now..I don't know..I have accepted this a while back, but still it's never easy. Right now I feel so incredibly scared and lost, but I can't show it because my family is relying on me, but I had to get this out somewhere and here is the best place to do it. So please keep a thought and prayer for my Dad.

Thanks so much everyone, this really means a lot. This morning was something I don't wish to go thru again. We really didn't think Dad would make it..he even stopped breathing and the hardest thing I ever had to do was do nothing because it has been his wish to not be revived, but he began breathing on his own. He has pneumonia in both lungs and the cancer has spread extensivly throughout both lungs.he is not on heavy antibiotics. He was talking some when I left a while ago. Now we wait and see what happens. Thank you all once again for your thought and prayers. :hugz:

It's hard to stand by and watch when someone's health is failing and they don't want life support. My grandmother was the same, and each day we were unsure if it was going to be her last. But being there for them is what really matters, and I'm sure your father knows how much you love him. We'll keep you both in our prayers. :hug:

Dad made it thru the night, but I don't think I slept at all because I was expecting the phone to ring to call me back to the hospital. I went back up there early this morning .They had a very hard time waking him up most of the day...his body is weak and tired from all he has gone thru, but still he's hanging on. He was able to eat dinner and that was the first thing he has been able to eat since yesterday. I've been up at the hospital all day and I don't think I have ever been so tired mentally and physically as I have been in the last two days. But the thing of it is, is that if I try to sleep, I can't. Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers it has meant a lot.
