Hi,
In the first Farscape episode we see a DRD on the table. How did it get up there? Can DRD climb up things?

Thanks

We've never seen them levitate, but they do seem to be able to run up walls and cling onto ceilings.

yea, they have "adhesions" on their treads and thus can climb wall and ceilings (and obviously table legs) without much of a problem

but one would or could assume that the lips/edges of the tables could be a problem. Unless John lifted it... the table has an edge on it that could/might be difficult to maneuver over.

Since the tables were all actually grown by and are a part of Moya I'm pretty sure they are all connected to either a wall or a column, so I assume that the DRDs make their way up the wall/column and onto the table.

They have moved the table a couple of times.

Well, we've seen DRD's get picked up lots of times. I always figured someone picked it up and put it on the table.

yeah, the have little rockets on the sides that lift them when they need to jump a great distance even though no one ever saw them before... oh wait, that was R2D2...
Nevermind.
I think it's just one of those things your not supposed to think about, but of course you can't help yourself and you do! :lol
I'll go with the 'they get picked up and put there' school of thought. ;)

I always guessed that they can simply stick to things and crawl up them. Like one-eye getting up on John's ship in the premier.

Edges aren't a problem at all. We seem to get EVERYWHERE. You know how it is.

Maybe they are really good jumpers :D I remember when living in Africa there was this type of spider that could jump from the floor, turn around in mid air and "land" on the ceiling. A great jumper. It was quite big too. But I am digressing...
They can climb around on Moya's walls pretty well, and she has all of those ribbings (I'm not referring to the large, obvious ribs, but the ones that go across the large ones), so I'd think that a table shouldn't be too hard to maneuver.

I'd say that the DRD on the table trick is simular to the DR. WHO Dalek cut scene magic.
Scene: Daleks meet stairs
Cut to Dr WHo doing something
Scene: Daleks at the top of stairs
MAGIC, Tadaaaaaaa.....

Ohh... the important questons in life! ;)
My take on it is the same as Nmrat and Nessus..DRD's
are masters of there own bodys and can cotrol time and space...
infact they are one with the universe and can also control fire wind and earth. :stomp: :esp:

Another unlikely possiblity is that they climb the walls, hang from the ceiling, and fall off like lemmings onto isolated objects like tables and Crichton's module. Then there's still the question of "flipping mechanisms," but the eyes might work for that, or that back panel thingy that opens up to reveal the random DRD tool. This might explain why they are so scruffy-looking all the time.

Al these theories are ecualy purpostoros and likely...
Only the designers of the DRD's would know!
Anyone know who to mail on that subject???
(Doing so would send an alarming picture of the fanbases mental health and force them to make an other seaseon :D )
